    Local Team Priority-

As we have approached the summer months, we have noticed an increase in reports of anti-social behaviour relating to ball games.

The concerns raised have been around road safety and person/s property being or at risk of being damaged.

We appreciate it is now the Summer holidays, but we do ask that ball games are played in the appropriate settings, gardens, green spaces and parks. By doing this we can eliminate/reduce the risk of any person/s property being damaged and any person/s getting hurt on the road.
During the summer holidays our officers will continue to be out on patrol across the Blakenall, Birchills and Leamore areas acting on residents’ concerns about anti-social behaviour.

We appreciate it is now the summer holidays, but we do ask that ball games are played in the appropriate settings, gardens, green spaces and parks. By doing this we can eliminate/reduce the risk of any person/s property being damaged and any person/s getting hurt on the road.

If a person/s property is damaged, then this would be dealt with as criminal damage-
Criminal damage is the offence of intentionally or recklessly destroying or damaging another persons property without lawful excuse. This ranges from minor vandalism, like graffiti or a smashed window, to arson. The legal standard is governed by the Criminal Damage Act 1971.
The team will be out over the next couple of weeks conducting letter drops in areas which have been brought to our attention regarding the ASB impact of ball games. The team will be conducting these in partnership with housing associations, relevant landlords and Walsall Council.

    These areas include-
    Water Reed Grove, Leamore.
    Stag Crescent, Coalpool.
If you are suffering any issues, then please contact West Midlands Police on 101 or via web chat online at www.west-midlands.police.uk to report any crime or anti-social behaviour. Please note that any information given will be dealt with confidentially. In cases of emergency please call 999. We encourage all calls to be made in the first instance so that the most appropriate response can be allocated to what is being reported. We also encourage residents to keep reporting to their housing associations/landlord and or Council.

30/07/26- Joint patrols and letter drop conducted in the Stag Crescent area of Coalpool. This was carried out with Walsall Housing Group and Walsall Council. For the following,

.The playing of football with disregard of other person/s property. Balls are reportedly being kicked up and down the street bouncing of people’s doors, windows and cars. .Intimidating behaviour.
.Criminal damage due to reckless behaviour.

31/07/26- Letter drop conducted to homes on Shearwater Road- youths causing ASB with bicycles, e-scooters and e-bikes, causing a nuisance outside our home, shouting, swearing, throwing things, football in the street around parked cars, doing wheelies on bikes

The team are continuing patrols in areas which are brought to our attention.

Patrols are being routinely carried out across the NHT areas. We have seen a decrease in reports in the locations which have had letter drops. Please report any issues to 101/police directly.
