    Nuisance motorcycles.

    Camau a gymerwyd:

We understand the impact that antisocial behaviour involving off-road motorcycles and suspected stolen motorbikes can have on rural communities. This behaviour can cause damage to farmland, footpaths and bridleways, as well as concern and disruption for local residents.

In response to reports from the public, officers have been carrying out targeted enforcement activity across rural areas. This has led to arrests and the seizure of motorcycles linked to crime and antisocial behaviour. Patrols continue in locations where concerns have been raised, with officers gathering information and taking action where offences are identified.

Alongside enforcement activity, we are working with local authorities, schools, youth services, housing providers and safeguarding organisations to address the causes of this behaviour. Our approach focuses on both preventing crime and supporting young people who may be at risk of becoming involved in offending.

We remain committed to protecting rural communities and taking action against those who cause nuisance, damage or distress to others. We would like to thank residents, farmers, landowners and local businesses who continue to report incidents and share information, which helps us identify offenders and take appropriate action.

    Road safety issues.

    Wedi'i roi 15 Gorffennaf 2026

    Camau a gymerwyd:

In response to concerns raised by local residents, officers have been carrying out targeted road safety activity across the area. This includes speed checks, high-visibility patrols, speaking with motorists, and taking action against drivers whose behaviour puts others at risk or causes nuisance within the community. Officers also work with partner organisations where appropriate to help address ongoing problems and improve safety in locations where concerns have been reported.

This activity has resulted in a number of traffic offences being dealt with and vehicles being stopped and checked. Patrols continue to focus on areas highlighted by local people, helping to ensure that police activity is directed towards the issues that matter most to the community.

Road safety remains a priority, and we will continue to use information from residents, local intelligence and enforcement opportunities to reduce risks on our roads, improve driver behaviour and help keep people safe. We encourage anyone with concerns about road safety to continue reporting issues so that resources can be targeted where they are needed most.

    E-scooters/E-bikes.

    Wedi'i roi 15 Gorffennaf 2026

    Camau a gymerwyd:

Officers have been carrying out targeted patrols in areas where concerns about e-scooter use have been reported. As part of this work, officers have spoken with riders to explain the laws relating to e-scooters and have taken enforcement action where offences have been identified. This includes seizing e-scooters that are being used illegally on roads, pavements and other public places.

We would like to remind the public that privately owned e-scooters cannot currently be used on public roads, cycle lanes or pavements. People who use them illegally may have their e-scooter seized, receive penalty points on their driving licence, or face prosecution.

We will continue to work with local communities to address concerns, improve road safety and reduce antisocial behaviour linked to the misuse of e-scooters. We encourage anyone experiencing ongoing issues in their area to report them to Kent Police so that appropriate action can be taken.
