Merry Hill - We will continue to focus on the following priorities:

Youth Violence, Anti-Social Behaviour and Drugs

ASB issues in the Swammore Close/Wrekin Drive/Star Street area have been identified.

The anti-social use of off road bikes and e-scooters has been identified in the Strathfield Walk/Langley Road area.

    Wedi'i roi 27 Mawrth 2026

    Camau a gymerwyd:

There has been a slight reduction in the ASB issues within the Star Street and Swanmore Close areas, however they remain prominent as we and our partner agencies seek to ameliorate the situation from a long-term perspective. There has been regular high visibility patrols within the area along with stop and search engagement with identified persistent offenders. There is also further work being conducted through our Design Out Crime Officers to assess the issues from an environmental factor and we continue to adopt our partnership working practices with Wolverhampton Homes in relation to civil intervention for prolific and persistent offenders.
In reference to the issue of off-road bikes in the Strathfield Walk and Langley Road, we are currently working with our colleagues in Staffordshire Police regarding cross border operations and joint engagement patrols with further off-road bike operations planned with West Midlands Police Force Road Harm Safety Officers

The anti social use of off road bikes and e-scooters along the have been received along the South Staffordshire Railway Walk.

The realignment of the domehawk camera and additional crime prevention awareness events on High Street, Tettenhall, following reports and concerns of begging and theft related offences from residents/councillors/local businesses

    Camau a gymerwyd:

Funding from WV Council has been secured for barriers to be installed at certain access points along the South Staffordshire Railway Walk and Smestow Valley to prevent the use of off road bikes and e-scooters in the area.
There will be further consultation and discussion that will be required as there were concerns raised by residents/community groups/local councillors at the recent Love Your Community Meeting in reference to these implementations. Following these concerns and in line with our priorities, there has been an increased presence in regards to both plain clothed and high visibility patrols within the locality which has provided further reassurance in the area. We will also be planning to conduct future Off Road Bike Operations with the Force Road Harm Safety Team to prevent further issues with especially in relation to the issues of drug usage/dealing and off-road motorcycles.

In reference to further concerns that have recently been raised regarding begging offences from homeless persons and recent theft related offences on High Street in Tettenhall. Tettenhall NHT have linked in with our partner agencies/local councillors and businesses for the reintegration of the domehawk camera on the High Street as well as linking in with local businesses and banking institutions to promote crime prevention events to raise awareness in reference to a recent spate of theft from the person offences across Wolverhampton. This has also been reinforced by additional police presence and patrols within the locality

One Stop on Oxley Moor Road and Morrisons, Blaydon Road continue to be hot spots for shop lifting and begging.

Speeding Issues - Oxley Moor Road - This was raised at the recent Love Our Community Meeting on 03/02/26 by local residents and councillors

    Wedi'i roi 27 Mawrth 2026

    Camau a gymerwyd:

There have been further high visibility patrols conducted around the Blanefield area following the concerns from our residents, and we are working alongside our partner agencies to deal with some of the ASB issues highlighted within our priorities to achieve long-term solutions, dealing with the perpetrators and issues from both a criminal and civil intervention perspective

There have been several arrests in relation to some of our persistent and prolific offenders that have focused predominately upon both locations (Morrisons and One Stop Stores) that have resulted in these offenders being charged and remanded into custody. We have also implemented further civil interventions in the form of Criminal Behaviour Orders to prevent further reoffending

The issue of speeding on the Oxley Moor Road was raised during the recent Love Our Community Meeting, we have now adopted a multi-agency working partnership approach with our external partner agencies and local councillors in regards to analysing and processing traffic information data for the consideration of implementing potential traffic calming measures, alongside the implementation of further road policing and community engagement traffic operations and initiatives, which will be formulated towards our long term strategic objectives and goals to promote road safety within the location
