    Due to the warm weather, we have received reports of cars meeting in The Meadows car park in the evening.

    Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) summary of activity by the NHPT team in June 2026:

    ASB remained the most prominent demand area, with officers adopting a proactive and preventative approach across youth engagement, retail environments, and residential issues.

    •Youth engagement and prevention A significant focus was placed on early intervention with young people. Officers delivered multiple school assemblies at Sandhurst School (Years 7, 8, and 9) and College Town Primary, engaging large audiences (100–250 pupils per session). Inputs covered ASB awareness, consequences of offending, and issues such as weapon possession.
    This was supported by direct street engagement at locations such as Yeovil Road shops and Horseshoe Lake, where officers spoke with groups of youths, addressing behaviour, gathering intelligence, and preventing escalation. This included dispersing groups engaging in risky behaviour around open water and reinforcing expectations and the seizing of a number of E-scooters in the vicinity posing a risk to young riders, pedestrians and other road users.

    •Retail and hotspot problem-solving Officers maintained regular engagement with businesses at The Meadows and Yeovil Road, including Tesco, Co-op, and M&S. These engagements identified that ASB and shoplifting occur in peaks but are currently manageable due to effective partnership working.
    Notable outcomes include:
    oIdentification and follow-up of repeat shoplifters
    oIntroduction of the DISC system to improve intelligence sharing
    oSignificant environmental improvements at Tesco, including upgraded CCTV coverage and installation of automated barriers to prevent car meets and vehicle-related ASB

    •Community engagement and local issues “Have Your Say” events and community contact identified key ASB concerns:
    oOngoing neighbour disputes involving noise and disturbance at Prince Drive, with multi-agency action involving housing providers
    oYouth congregation linked to disorder and risk-taking behaviour (e.g. swimming and alcohol use)
    oContinued demand for visible policing in known hotspot areas

    Overall, ASB was addressed by Sandhurst & Crowthorne neighbourhood officers through a mix of education, engagement, enforcement opportunities, and long-term problem-solving, resulting in improved relationships and reduced fear of crime.

    Summary of activity carried out by Sandhurst & Crowthorne neighbourhood officers to tackle drugs in Sandhurst in June 2026:

    Drug-related activity was addressed through targeted operations, intelligence gathering, and proactive engagement with licensed premises and the community.

    •Night-Time Economy (NTE) operations - Officers conducted plain-clothed and uniformed operations at venues including The Wellington Arms, The Crowthorne Inn, The Prince and Hall & Woodhouse. Activity included:
    oDrug swabbing of surfaces for forensic testing
    oEngagement with licence holders to reinforce compliance
    oIdentification of suspicious behaviour leading to stop searches under Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act
    These operations provide both immediate disruption and longer-term deterrence within the night-time economy.

    •Wider intelligence gathering Engagements with businesses and residents supported the development of intelligence relating to wider criminality, including links between ASB and potential drug activity.

    Overall, officers demonstrated an intelligence-led approach to drug-related harm, combining enforcement activity with community-based information gathering and preventative work with licensed premises.

    Summary of activity carried out by Sandhurst & Crowthorne neighbourhood officers to tackle Speeding and Road-Related Concerns in Sandhurst in June 2026.

    Although fewer standalone speeding enforcement actions were recorded, officers actively addressed road safety concerns through broader ASB and community engagement activity.

    •Vehicle-related ASB and car meets A key theme across the month was the link between vehicle use and ASB. Work at Tesco, The Meadows directly targeted car meets and dangerous driving behaviour through environmental design changes (CCTV and barriers), significantly strengthening the ability to prevent and respond to incidents.
    •Community concerns and road safety Engagement with residents at New Road highlighted parking and road use concerns, with referrals made to Roads Policing colleagues for further action and advice.
    •High-visibility patrols Vehicle and foot patrols in hotspot areas such as Rackstraw Road, Yeovil Road and the roads around The Meadows retail park increased police visibility, acting as a deterrent to speeding and unsafe driving, particularly in car parks and ASB-linked routes.

    This approach demonstrates how speeding concerns are being addressed through prevention, partnership, and visible policing, even where formal enforcement activity is limited.
