    Theft

    To reduce incidents of Theft in the Earl’s Court area. In particular to include parcel theft, theft of pedal cycle & shoplifting specifically.

    The incidences of theft can be monitored via the amount of reported incidents to police & AUROR including ASB Reports.

    This can be achieved by the continuation of high-visibility foot and cycle patrols, vehicle patrols, variation of shifts to include late and night shifts, targeted use of stop and search tactics, and target hardening. We also provide crime prevention advice and engagement via social media. Earl’s Court NPT officers regularly change their shifts to combat theft related offences, and conduct stop and search where grounds exist.

    NPT conduct regular proactive patrols around the ward at all times of the day. Following residential burglaries, 'cocooning' visits will be completed at the address and with neighbours to provide advice and reassurance to residents.

    Drugs:

    To combat Anti-social Behaviour (ASB) linked to drugs in Earl's Court.

    This can be monitored by the number of crime reports, intelligence reports and ASB reports relating to drugs, as well as the anecdotal evidence seen by officers, Ward Panel members and local residents.

    This can be achieved by a combination of high-visibility patrols within the highlighted area, joint working with RBK&C Street Enforcement Team officers, robust enforcement of PSPO legislation and effective use of CPWs/CPNs to deter offenders.

    NPT approach drug issues using a multi-pronged approach. This includes partnership work with the council, housing associations and other organisations. This is in addition to regular proactive patrols, search warrants, and other tactics.
    Earl’s Court officers have been proactive in obtaining two very successful warrants recently, recovering approx. £30,000 of drugs. Drug users have reported that the area is currently ‘too hot’ for drugs and they are going elsewhere. Local drug users are regularly stopped and searched, leading to a number of arrests and community resolutions.
    The drug hotspots in Earl's Court around Nevern Square, Nevern Place, Trebovir Road and Templeton Place are patrolled when officers are on duty.

    To combat Anti Social Behaviour in Earl's Court.

    The incidences of Anti Social Behaviour can be monitored by the number of calls to police, crime reports and non-crime ASB reports.

    This can be achieved by high-visibility foot and cycle patrols, vehicle patrols, targeted use of stop and search tactics, and target hardening through crime prevention advice via social media and working with RBK&C council. Ward officers regularly volunteer to change their shifts to late or night shifts and will look to use stop and search where appropriate. NPT will work with the local street enforcement team to enforce the PSPO utilizing partnership working with housing services to prevent behaviour.

Officers also organise and participate in proactive operations at all times of day and night around the ward seeking out those committing offences. Stop and searches are conducted where grounds exist, amongst other disruptive tactics.
