    Using a combination of your feedback and our own data, our current priority is Operation Focus patrols in areas identified for anti-social behaviour and serious violence.

    Camau a gymerwyd:

    To address this priority, we have:

    - Increased high visibility foot patrols across city centre hotspots on a weekly basis
    - Provided increased, dedicated response at peak times such as Saturday afternoons/evenings around the Haymarket and surrounding footprint.
    - Worked alongside partners to engage with young people in the city centre and provide safeguarding in that space.
    - Engaged with schools and parents around increasing awareness of anti-social behaviour and risks linked to children in the city centre.
    - Worked alongside council partners to explore crime prevention and detection opportunities such as increased CCTV coverage in hotspots.
    - Impact days provided by Safer Neighbourhood Teams alongside new student officers targeting retail crime and wanted persons, particularly in the highest areas of retail crime such as Riverside and Dereham Road.
    - The trial of live facial recognition in the city centre areas of highest footfall.
    - Ongoing work around obtaining Criminal Behaviour Orders to better manage the city’s repeat anti-social behaviour offenders – currently there are 41 of these orders in place in the Norwich East area.

    We work with the community and local partners, as well as looking at our own data to come up with the priority that we will have for Norwich East for the next three months which is:
    Anti-social behaviour (ASB) with a focus on:
    - Public order offences in the city centre, including Riverside Walk
    - Drug use and ASB in the Thorpe Hamlet area, particularly in the Old Library Wood.

    Camau a gymerwyd:

    Since this priority was issued we have:
    - Conducted foot patrols around Riverside Walk, and discovered a tent encampment; following partnership work with the council, this has since been removed.
    - City centre for ASB patrols following recent issues in Haymarket where we have issued four x Section 35sdispersal orders issued - group have dispersed, however this has later resulted in three arrests for breaches.
    - Two Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) have been issued for anti-social riding on Riverside Walk.
    - Plain clothed patrols have been carried out in city centre including St Benedicts St and Dereham Rd which resulted in three arrests (one for theft, one for breach of CBO and one for recall to prison). We also had a positive stop search for cannabis.
    - Three section 35 dispersal orders have been issued to three people on the Haymarket.
    - On 25 June we attended a partners meeting with Orbit Housing around ASB at Gas Hill. Officers discussed security, reporting to police and current policing priorities.
    -- Four people arrested during a shift on 26 June. One man on suspicion of a several shop thefts and a theft of a cycle, one on suspicion of breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order, another for breaching a Criminal Behaviour Notice, and one who was a recalled to prison.

    JULY
    - Meeting with partners carried out on 3 July to discuss rough sleeping and ASB in London St.
    - Continued patrols of Riverside Walk - particularly focussed around Carrow Road.
    - During foot patrols around the city centre on 3 July, officers have carried out a stop search on an individual at St Giles Church. A large quantity of cannabis has been seized and person has been given a conditional caution.
    - Following foot patrols of city centre two people have been arrested for shop thefts (3 July).
    - During weekend foot patrols one man was arrested for a shop theft, another man was arrested for three shop thefts and breaching a CBO. One man was arrested for criminal damage and breaching a Section 35 and a woman was arrested for six shop theft (4 July).
    - Regular foot patrols of Old Library Wood. On 5 July engaged with a large gathering enjoying jazz music.
    - Man arrested for seven fail to appear warrants on St Benedict's St whilst on foot patrols (5 July).
    - Targeted patrols along Riverside Walk, Gas Hill, Red Lion pub. During patrols officers have disrupted a large group of drinkers, all stop checked and alcohol confiscated.
    - Two illegally modified e-bikes have been seized by officers in the city centre (7 July).
    - Continued patrols of city centre, particularly focusing on Haymarket and alcohol has continued to be confiscated.
    - Whilst on foot patrols in city centre, officers have arrested one man for a recall to prison and another man for two shop thefts (7 July).
    - A man was arrested for numerous thefts and CBO breaches in Chapelfield Gardens
    - Officers attended the Norwich Lanes Fayre. During the event, a man was stop searched and arrested for a public order offence on Gentleman's Walk. In addition, a man was arrested for offences of criminal damage and theft on Maddermarket

    We encourage incidents of ASB to be reported to us either on the Norfolk Police website or by calling 101. Always call 999 in an emergency or for a crime in progress.
