The Clifton Beat Team is continuing to work on a number of tactics aimed at deterring vehicle crime and reducing reports of vehicle break-ins across the area. This includes conducting targeted patrols in locations where incidents are reported more frequently, providing crime prevention advice to residents and visitors, and engaging with local communities to raise awareness of simple measures that can help reduce the risk of becoming a victim.

Officers are encouraging motorists to remove valuables from vehicles, ensure doors and windows are secured, and report any suspicious behaviour. Through a combination of high-visibility patrols, preventative advice, and focused activity in identified hotspot areas, the team aims to reduce opportunities for offenders and keep our communities safe.

We have seen a recent rise in reports of suspected drug dealing, including making areas feel less safe as a result of this.

Police are doing visible patrols in the area, in order to try and deter criminal activity. We are also working hard to identify individuals, and build pictures around specific areas with multiple ongoing issues.

If you witness any behaviour that you believe is suspicious, or could be related to drugs, please report on 999, if you believe you have witnessed such activity in the past please call 101. You can also report on the below link.

Officers continue to carry out regular high-visibility patrols in the Gloucester Road South and Elton Road areas to provide reassurance to residents and deter anti-social behaviour. Alongside these patrols, we have issued the main perpetrators of anti-social behaviour with Community Protection Warnings (CPWs). A Community Protection Warning is a formal notice requiring individuals to cease behaviour that is having a detrimental impact on the local community. Failure to comply may result in further enforcement action, including the issuing of a Community Protection Notice (CPN).

The combination of targeted patrols and the issuing of Community Protection Warnings has helped to disrupt some of the anti-social behaviour and criminal activity being reported in the area. We will continue to monitor the location closely and take positive action where appropriate.
Information provided by the community plays a vital role in tackling drug-related crime. The more information and reports we receive, the better able we are to build intelligence, identify those involved in drug dealing, and take proactive action, including stop searches, arrests, and further investigations.
If you have information about drug dealing or criminal activity in your area, you can report it anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Crimestoppers is completely independent of the police, and you do not have to provide your name or any personal details. Every piece of information helps us build a clearer picture of what is happening in the community.
    Forward Planning
As we move into the winter months, we are planning a range of operations in the area aimed at tackling drug-related crime and anti-social behaviour. This will include continued high-visibility patrols by neighbourhood officers, alongside a variety of proactive policing tactics designed to identify and apprehend those involved in drug dealing.
We are also planning several bike marking events in the area to help residents protect their property and reduce cycle theft. These events will provide an opportunity for cyclists to have their bikes security marked and registered, making them easier to identify and return if recovered.
In addition, our Design Out Crime team will be working with local businesses and property owners to identify and improve areas that may attract anti-social behaviour. This includes providing crime prevention advice and recommending environmental improvements to target-harden locations, making them less vulnerable to crime and disorder.
Through these combined efforts, and with the continued support of the community, we aim to reduce crime, disrupt anti-social behaviour, and make the area a safer place for everyone.

Police are patrolling the area frequently, and dealing with any ASB they come across. We are also working with the local businesses to tackle the problems.

Anti-Social Behaviour Update and Forward Planning

Following reports from local residents, we have issued the main perpetrators of anti-social behaviour with Community Protection Warnings (CPWs). A Community Protection Warning is a formal notice designed to address behaviour that is having a negative impact on the local community. Individuals who have been served with a warning are required to cease the behaviour outlined within it. Failure to comply may result in further enforcement action, including the issuing of a Community Protection Notice (CPN).
Looking ahead, we are planning a number of bike marking events in the area to help residents protect their property and reduce cycle theft. These events will provide an opportunity for cyclists to have their bikes security marked and registered, making them easier to identify and return if recovered.
