    Priorities:

    1 - Burglary
2 - ASB in parks and town centres
    3 - Alcohol related incidents

    Priority Period:

    July to September 2026

    How priorities are chosen:

The priorities for the Rushcliffe Neighbourhood Team is reviewed every 3 months in a Multi-Agency meeting attended by local authorities, problem solving specialists, and neighbourhood policing teams.

The meeting looks at the data from crime recording and intelligence systems held by the police, as well as data from the Nottinghamshire Police Crime Commissioners Office and responses to the ‘What Matters’ survey submitted to the police via the Notts Alert system, in order to determine which matters are important to our communities.

The priorities selected do not detract from other priorities either locally or across the force.

Why these priorities have been chosen:

    1 - Burglary
The last quarter saw a rise in dwelling burglaries and associated theft of motor vehicles, primarily motorbikes, within Rushcliffe. Whilst numbers of such offences have come down in June due to arrests, we need to ensure the focus remains on preventing such offences, and supporting the investigation of offences which have already occurred.

2 – ASB in parks and town centres
ASB rates are lower than previous years, however given they typically peak during warmer weather, and with some assaults and ASB reported from groups congregating in parks and town centre locations, the focus needs to remain on disruption of such issues.

    3 – Alcohol related incidents
We see an increase in violent crime linked to alcohol in the warmer weather, and as such we'll be seeking to work with licenced premises, as well as disrupting alcohol related ASB in town centres and parks.

How you can have your voice heard:

You can take part in the NottsAlert “What Matters” survey here What Matters

You can report incidents by calling 999 or 101 as well as via our website.

You can also provide intelligence anonymously via Crimestoppers Independent UK charity taking crime information anonymously | Crimestoppers

    Wedi'i roi 01 Gorffennaf 2026

    Camau a gymerwyd:

    1 – Burglary

We will ensure patrols are conducted during hours when offences have been occurring, and seek pro-active stop search & vehicle stop opportunities. We will seek offenders outstanding for burglary offences, and pro-actively police suspects on bail. We will support CID colleagues with enquiries linked to burglary offences.

2 – ASB in parks and town centres

We will arrest offenders for criminal offences such as assaults and criminal damage which have occurred, and utilise disruptive patrols to prevent incidents occurring. We will use dispersal orders and bail conditions where appropriate, as well as working with partners to displace groups, or divert them from offending.

    3 – Alcohol related incidents

We will pro-actively target those involved in underage drinking in public spaces who are engaged in ASB, as well as issues relating to sporting events, and alcohol associated violence. This will include licensing checks on premises, as well as using local PSPOs.
