Anti-Social Behaviour in and around Braunstone Park continues as a priority concern from the community. Over the spring period, the team will continue to concentrate on this location.

    Wedi'i roi 01 Gorffennaf 2026

    Camau a gymerwyd:

Throughout July, the beat team have continued to prioritise tackling anti-social behaviour in and around Braunstone Park, responding to concerns consistently raised by local residents and park users.
With the start of the school summer holidays, officers launched Operation HABITUAL, a dedicated multi-agency operation aimed at preventing anti-social behaviour, youth disorder and associated criminality within Braunstone Park and surrounding areas. The operation focuses on high-visibility policing, early intervention and engagement with young people, alongside robust enforcement where necessary.
As part of Operation HABITUAL, the team have conducted numerous targeted patrols at key times throughout the day and evening, providing reassurance to the community and disrupting behaviour that negatively impacts those using the park. These patrols have been supported by colleagues from Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS), strengthening partnership working and enabling positive engagement with young people during the holiday period.
The operation has also benefited from the assistance of the Drone Team, providing officers with enhanced oversight of the park and surrounding open spaces, allowing the team to identify groups involved in anti-social behaviour, direct resources effectively and respond quickly to emerging incidents.
Alongside these patrols, officers have continued to utilise a range of enforcement and preventative measures to address offenders and deter further incidents. The combination of visible policing, partnership working and targeted operational activity has enabled the team to maintain a proactive presence within the park and respond effectively to community concerns.
Overall, the team remain committed to reducing anti-social behaviour, improving public confidence and ensuring Braunstone Park remains a safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors throughout the summer months.

From Community Surveys and Feedback on Neighbourhood Link, road safety has been highlighted to be a local concern. We will continue to concentrate on speeding concerns and anti social behaviour caused by e bikes, e scooters and off road motorbikes.

    Wedi'i roi 01 Gorffennaf 2026

    Camau a gymerwyd:

During July, the beat team have continued to focus on road safety and anti-social vehicle use following concerns raised through community surveys and Neighbourhood Link.
Activity has remained centred on tackling speeding and nuisance behaviour associated with e-bikes, e-scooters and off-road motorbikes across the Braunstone area.
As part of this ongoing work, Operation PEDALFAST has recommenced, providing dedicated enforcement activity aimed at identifying and disrupting those using e-bikes and e-scooters illegally or in an anti-social manner. The operation supports safer roads, footpaths and open spaces while helping to reduce the impact that nuisance vehicle use has on local residents.
On 30 July 2026, the beat team conducted a successful Operation PEDALFAST deployment which resulted in the seizure of six e-bikes and two e-scooters. In addition, one rider was dealt with for the possession of cannabis following police intervention. This proactive enforcement demonstrates the team's commitment to tackling criminality and anti-social behaviour linked to these vehicles.
The team have also continued to address concerns around excessive speed. On 11 July 2026, PCSO Beth carried out a speeding operation on Braunstone Lane, resulting in multiple motorists being stopped and spoken to regarding their speed and driving behaviour. These engagements provide an opportunity to educate drivers, improve compliance and enhance road safety within the local community.
The beat team recognise the significant impact that speeding and anti-social vehicle use can have on residents' quality of life and will continue to carry out targeted patrols, enforcement operations and community engagement throughout the summer period.
Overall, the combination of Operation PEDALFAST activity, speeding enforcement and high-visibility patrols has enabled the team to tackle local concerns directly, improve road safety and make Braunstone a safer place for residents and visitors alike.

From the Surveys on Neighbourhood Link you have told us that drug dealing and usage at locations across the Braunstone and Rowley Fields area is a concern.

    Wedi'i roi 01 Gorffennaf 2026

    Camau a gymerwyd:

Throughout July, the beat team have remained focused on tackling drug dealing and drug-related activity across Braunstone and Rowley Fields, in direct response to concerns raised by residents through Neighbourhood Link surveys.
Activity has centred on proactive enforcement, intelligence-led investigations and warrant execution to disrupt those involved in the production and supply of controlled drugs within the community.
On 8 July 2026, officers executed a PACE warrant at a commercial premises on Hopefield Road alongside colleagues from Trading Standards. The warrant resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of cannabis, as well as a substantial amount of counterfeit goods. This joint operation not only targeted suspected drug activity but also tackled wider criminality affecting legitimate local businesses and the community.
The team's enforcement activity continued on 20 July 2026, when a further PACE warrant was executed at a residential address on Sommerville Road. During the search, officers recovered multiple cannabis plants being cultivated within the property. Enquiries remain ongoing to identify those responsible and pursue any further offences disclosed by the investigation.
These warrants demonstrate the team's continued commitment to acting on community intelligence and disrupting those involved in the production and supply of illegal drugs. By targeting both commercial and residential premises, officers have been able to address drug-related concerns at a number of levels and prevent further harm within local neighbourhoods.
Alongside enforcement activity, the team continue to develop intelligence, work with partner agencies and pursue further opportunities to disrupt individuals involved in drug-related offending across Braunstone and Rowley Fields.
