    Anti-social behaviour

    Camau a gymerwyd:

    Foot patrols have been conducted regarding reports of ongoing anti-social behaviour around the long lane recreation ground and the unused land behind it, work is ongoing with partner agencies and the owner of the land to secure it and prevent anti-social use of the area. Patrols of Spout Lane and information gathering is ongoing in this area due to reports of ASB and findings of paraphernalia associated with it.

    In Stanwell we have had a prolific robbery suspect arrested and given a CBO and custodial sentence to help safeguard the public. In addition we have also provided burglary safeguarding advice given at community events, as well as visible patrols in areas affected by burglaries to help reassure the public and limit further offences.

    Concerns from the community around the increase in knife crimes

    Camau a gymerwyd:

    SNT have been attending shops within Spelthorne and getting the businesses to agree to selling knives to the appropriate procedures of trading standards. SNT have done and are still working on action planned days or are selling bladed articles to youths.
    We are planning to do proactive operations to help increase and gather intel around concerns.
    PCSO’s have been conducting patrols along the areas of Clare Road where they speak to local businesses and residents.

    Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG)
    From our public engagements with the community, it’s been identified that it is early hours of the morning and the hours of evening that are the most concerning, whereby inappropriate or unpleasant behaviour occurs.
    Many persons identified areas around the major transport links, such as Ashford Train Station and Sunbury Underpass.

    Addressing these concerns, we have increased high visibility and plain clothes patrols in these hot spots at the times identified as particularly worrying. We will work with partner agencies such as Spelthorne Borough Council and British Transport Police to find a long term solution to improve the safety in these areas.

    We organise regular public engagement events and meetings to raise the public’s awareness of Violence Against Women and Girls and to give everyone an opportunity to talk to us about anything of concern.

    PUBWATCH. We work at with licenced premises in Spelthorne to tackle issues such as drink spiking and alcohol related ASB towards women.

    We monitor know offenders in the community and regularly assess any risk to the public. We take action as soon as it is required to protect the public.

    Drug use

    Camau a gymerwyd:

    We have been getting a lot of reports of drug use and dealing around Stanwell from local residents and the associated ASB that comes with that. Recently a County Drug line was disrupted with multiple warrants carried out and several persons arrested in connection with this. We are currently collating reports of continued behaviour in the Stanwell area to assess our current patrol priority areas in the town. Currently Whitley Close and the residential area between there and De Havilland Way have had reports of drug dealing, drug use and ASB as a result. Police recently conducted a joint visit with A2Dominion in the area to speak with local residents, and in doing so, secured an empty premises that had been used by squatters for drug use, with multiple knives seized from inside the address.
