    Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

    Camau a gymerwyd:

    Kent Police remains committed to tackling antisocial behaviour and other issues that affect the quality of life of local residents.

    Officers have been carrying out targeted patrols in areas where concerns have been raised by the community. This activity has focused on issues such as groups causing disorder, street drinking, excessive noise, inappropriate vehicle use and other behaviour that can have a negative impact on local people.

    As part of this work, officers have engaged with residents, local businesses, young people and partner organisations to identify those responsible and take appropriate action. This may include providing advice, using powers available under antisocial behaviour legislation and working with other agencies to address the causes of ongoing problems. Antisocial behaviour legislation includes measures that can be used to prevent behaviour that causes harassment, alarm or distress to others.

    We recognise the impact antisocial behaviour can have on communities and want to reassure residents that reports are taken seriously. Information provided by the public helps officers identify patterns, understand local concerns and focus patrols where they are needed most.

    We encourage anyone experiencing antisocial behaviour to report it to Kent Police.

    Nuisance motorcycles.

    Kent Police continues to carry out targeted patrols in areas where nuisance motorbike activity has been reported. Officers work closely with partner organisations and local communities to identify those responsible and take appropriate action.

    Where offences are identified, officers can use a range of powers to stop vehicles, seize motorcycles that are being used illegally or in an antisocial manner, and take enforcement action against those involved. Recent activity has resulted in a number of arrests and vehicle seizures, and we will continue to act on information provided by local residents.

    Reports from the public play an important role in helping us tackle this issue. If you witness nuisance motorbike activity, please report it to Kent Police and, where possible, include details such as the date, time, location, description of the rider and any vehicle registration number. This information helps officers identify offenders, target patrols and take action to keep local communities safe.

    Your local policing team understands the impact that vehicle crime can have on victims and the wider community. Officers continue to carry out targeted patrols in areas identified through crime reports, local information and concerns raised by residents. This includes both high-visibility and plain-clothed patrols, as well as working with partner organisations to identify and disrupt those involved in vehicle crime.

    Alongside enforcement activity, we encourage vehicle owners to ensure their vehicles are locked when unattended, removing valuables from view, parking in well-lit areas where possible, and keeping vehicle keys away from doors and windows. Some owners may also wish to consider additional security measures such as steering wheel locks, tracking devices or vehicle alarms.

    Owners of keyless entry vehicles should consider storing their keys in a signal-blocking pouch when not in use. These pouches can help prevent relay theft, where criminals use electronic devices to capture and extend the signal from a vehicle key to gain access to the vehicle.

    Tackling vehicle crime remains a priority, and we will continue to use information provided by the public to direct our patrols and proactive activity. We encourage residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour or information relating to vehicle crime, as community intelligence plays an important role in helping us keep local communities safe.
