    Anti-social behaviour was voted again as a priority issue within the South area in the latest community survey in May.
    The Aylesbury South neighbourhood team will be aiming to reduce anti-social behaviour around Walton Court shops and Edinburgh Playing Fields.

    Camau a gymerwyd:

    The team will be working with partner agencies and increasing patrols around target areas during periods of heavy footfall.
    Officers will conduct high visibility patrols in areas identified to be most impacted by anti-social behaviour. They will also continue with their monthly have your say events to engage with the local residents, speak with them about what concerns they have and offer crime prevention advice.
    The team are also receiving consistent reports of motorbikes riding across the Edinburgh playing fields. They will be conducting high visibility patrols in the location and seizing any bikes found to be riding across the fields.
    July update: 11 reported incidents in June, a significant increase on last month. A Criminal Behaviour Order was issued to a known offender banning him from the Co op and Walton Court Centre. We will continue to work with local businesses to prevent ASB.
    Aug update: 5 reported incidents of ASB in July a 44% decrease on previous month
    This priority is reviewed quarterly as per community survey results and actions reviewed 30th monthly to ensure progress.

  • Blaenoriaeth:

    Speeding was voted again as a priority for the Aylesbury South team by the local community in the survey completed end of May.

    Camau a gymerwyd:

    The South team will be enforcing the speed limit in target areas, we will be conducting high visibility speed enforcement throughout the quarter and . this will include issuing fines and educational programmes.
    The team will look to update the community on the results of this speeding enforcement operation once completed.
    June update: speed survey completed in Prebendal Avenue, 11 vehicles seen ,all within the speed limit. Further surveys to be completed by 30th July to establish areas for enforcement days.
    July update: speed surveys to be completed and results shared
    Aug update: we are working to reduce speeding and ASB on Churchill Avenue and Prebendal Ave. Range of speed surveys completed to establish arras for enforcement days with road policing. All results will be shared in future updates.
    This priority is reviewed quarterly in line with community survey results.

    Drug offending has been voted for as a top concern again by the local community in the May survey. The Aylesbury South team have been made aware of the increase in class A and B drugs being dealt within certain locations around the area.

    The team target drug dealers with proactive policing, this includes gathering and submitting intelligence on individuals suspected to be drug dealing and utilising stop and search powers to lead to arrests and warrants.
    They will also continue patrols around areas identified to have persistent incidents of drug activity in order to deter further offending.
    July update: .1 possession of drugs, a reduction on previous month. We continue to actively target dealers using information from the community, which is essential.
    Aug update: 4 possession and 1 intent to supply. NOS cannisters continue to be handed in.
    This priority will be reviewed quarterly as per community survey results and actions reviewed 30th monthly to ensure progress.
