    Off Road bikes

The local teams have and will continue to focus on prevention, identification and the arrest of persons using off road bikes. We are using the tools available to us to carry out our mission to disrupt the minority of individuals who choose to continue to disrupt the community.

We are running specific operations that target these individuals. Within the last 3 months we have ran 9 operations specifically targeting off road bikes. We have used the intelligence you provide to help us identify individuals and locations where we have been able to seize 7 off road bikes from individuals within the community with investigations ongoing and many charged with further charges likely.

We are working closely with partners to achieve evidence to support civil orders such as criminal behaviour orders to use against those who use off road bikes with a total of 3 issued. The bikes seized from individuals have been destroyed meaning that there are 7 less bikes in the community.

This has most definitely disrupted and, we will continue to monitor and remove any further bikes they make attempts to replace them. We have dedicated and monitored patrol routes during our operations. Our focus will continue to build our intelligence identifying locations to target unlawful off road bike owners.

We continue to work closely with the fire service to identify and prevent those who set fire to our Eston hills. There are operations that are taking place to prevent and identify offenders though use of drones. These operations will continue to run throughout the summer periods.

The local teams have and will continue to focus on prevention, identification and the arrest of persons using off road bikes (ORB.) We are using the tools available to us to carry out our mission to disrupt the minority of individuals who choose to continue to disrupt the community. The Greater Eston Inspector continues to hold and chair partnership meetings specifically about the use of ORBs being used in the community. We rely on information from the public to inform us where this is occurring so we can act on that information. I urge the community to provide information; it will be held in confidence and never shared outside the police environment.
We are running specific operations and have successfully removed quads and bikes from various locations due to support from the community. We have used the intelligence you provide to help us identify individuals and locations where we have been able to arrest several offenders with stolen motorcycles and remove them from your roads. We are working closely with partners to achieve evidence to support civil orders such as criminal behaviour orders to use against those who use off road bikes. The bikes seized from individuals have been destroyed meaning that they are unable to continue to use them in the community. We will continue to monitor and remove any further bikes they make attempts to replace them with. We have dedicated and monitored patrol routes during our operations. Our focus will continue to build our intelligence identifying locations to target unlawful off road bike owners. We are looking at new tactics soon to tackle off road motor bikes so we can hopefully have more success moving forward as technology improves.

We have listened to your concerns about drug dealing taking place. We have dedicated patrol plans in place with regards to the drug dealing you report in the community. We have gathered intelligence and continue to arrest offenders with some successful drug seizures within your community within the last 3 months. These include the ordering of drugs from outside the UK where tenants who accept such packages have triggered the first steps in removing them from their home and the community if they continue. The disruption tactics used by the police and council are working.
We have applied for and successfully attained several drugs warrants and will continue to act on information received about drug dealing in your streets. I encourage anyone who witnesses this or has information to contact the police. Your information will be kept confidential and although the information will be shared with partners, rest assured the person’s details who provide this information will not be shared with anyone. We welcome any reports involving drug dealing within your ward area which may assist us to tackle this particular crime - even if reported anonymously.

Grangetown: Greater Eston Neighbourhood police team continue to respond proactively to concerns surrounding the illegal and antisocial use of off-road bikes across the community. Officers are carrying out targeted patrols as well as pre planned operations. OP ENDURANCE targets the use of ORB’s in the local Greater Eston ward areas and OP CHECKPOINT targets the use of ORB’s in rural areas, also targeting cross border crime.

We continue to work closely with residents and partnership agencies to gather intelligence and take enforcement action where appropriate. The Greater Eston Inspector continues to hold and chair partnership meetings specifically about the use of ORB’s being used in the community.

In the last three months the Grangetown ward has seen some positive results in tackling this issue including the locating and seizure of four stolen motorbikes, the recovery of a stolen car and a car seized and the driver reported for summons, for committing traffic offences and driving whilst disqualified. Residents are encouraged to report incidents, provide information, and continue to support local efforts to reduce illegal bike / vehicle use. Information provided by the public plays a vital role in helping officers identify offenders and take appropriate action.

    Wedi'i roi 26 Mai 2026

    Camau a gymerwyd:

Grangetown: The Greater Eston police team continue to take robust action in tackling drug related activity and the harm it causes within the community. Neighbourhood officers are working proactively to identify and disrupt those involved in drug dealing through targeted patrols, intelligence led operations and warrants and working with partner agencies.

Drug dealing can have a serious impact on residents, often contributing to anti-social behaviour, violence, exploitation and wider community concerns. Police remain committed to addressing these issues by carrying out warrants, conducting stop searches where appropriate and increasing patrols in identified hot spot areas.

In the last three months on the Grangetown ward there have been two successful Drugs warrants actioned on properties that were causing issues to the local community through their involvement in drug dealing. One warrant was conducted under OP ARTEMIS which is a committed day of action involving many different police departments to tackle crime and serious disorder in our areas. In all, 3 nominals were arrested and dealt with for Possessing with intent to supply class A drugs. There have also been other successful warrants conducted on other wards across the Graeter Eston area some resulting in orders being granted by the courts for the closure of the properties.

We encourage anyone who witnesses drug dealing activity or has any information relating to such behaviour to contact police and welcome any reports which may assist us to tackle this crime, even if reported anonymously.

    Anti Social Behaviour - Grangetown

    Wedi'i roi 26 Mai 2026

    Camau a gymerwyd:

Grangetown: Greater Eston Neighbourhood police team continue to work closely with residents, community partners and to tackle issues relating to anti-social behaviour on the ward area. Officers continue to carry out high visibility foot and mobile patrols in identified hot spot areas.

In the last three months, the Grangetown ward area did see a spate of anti-social behaviour in the area of Fabian Court whereby youths were causing issues for local stores and the Eston Labour Club. Patrols were carried out and staff from the establishments visited by officers. One youth was given and anti-social behaviour warning notice for their actions. Calls for this area have reduced over recent weeks however local officers will continue to monitor this.

The ward PCSO’s continue to issue AS13 warnings for anti-social behaviour and with the ASB officer from the council to deliver anti-social behaviour agreements to monitor and hold the individuals accountable. We will continue to work with partners to highlight the consequences of their actions and the impact this could have on their residential status within the community to deter their mission of causing disruption.
This has only been achievable through your information as a community, and we will be continuing to patrol these areas and act on your intelligence with regards to where the ASB is happening.
