    We have received a number of recent reports of drug dealing in the vicinity of Alton West and Putney Vale estates. Drug dealing is very much associated with violent organised crime groups, gangs and child criminal exploitation via county line activity.

    Aim:
    Reduce drug-related activity across the ward through proactive policing, intelligence-led enforcement and partnership working.

    Key Priorities:
    Prevention: Deter drug use and dealing through visible policing and engagement.
    Enforcement: Target individuals involved in using, supplying and distribution of drugs.
    Partnership: Work with partner agencies to address underlying issues and safeguard vulnerable individuals.
    Intelligence: Develop and act upon intelligence to identify hotspots and offenders.

    Actions & Responsibilities:
    High-Visibility and Plain Clothes Patrols:
    - Deploy officers to known hotspot locations during peak times associated with drug activity.
    - Use a combination of foot and cycle patrols to increase visibility and disruption.
    - Conduct plain clothes operations where appropriate to identify active offenders.

    Targeted Enforcement:
    - Carry out stop and search where grounds exist in line with legislation and policy.
    - Execute intelligence-led warrants where appropriate.
    - Target and disrupt individuals involved in the supply of controlled drugs.
    - Work with specialist units where necessary to tackle organised criminality.

    Community Engagement & Prevention:
    - Engage with residents and local businesses to gather information and provide reassurance.
    - Promote reporting of drug-related concerns via the appropriate channels (e.g. 101, Met Online & Crimestoppers).

    Partnership Working:
    - Work with local authority, housing providers and outreach services to address locations linked to repeat drug activity.
    - Refer vulnerable individuals involved in substance misuse to support services (Operation ADDER)
    - Collaborate with agencies to address associated anti-social behaviour and safeguarding concerns.

    Intelligence Gathering:
    - Ensure all drug-related incidents are accurately recorded.
    - Identify repeat locations, offenders and emerging trends.
    - Share intelligence with neighbouring wards and relevant teams (e.g. VSU, tasking teams).

    Enforcement Strategy:
    - Prioritise enforcement against those involved in drug supply and exploitation.
    - Use appropriate disposals for possession offences, balancing enforcement with diversion where suitable.
    - Build strong evidential cases using officer statements, forensic opportunities and intelligence logs.

    Communication:
    - Update the community via Met Engage and social media on enforcement activity, outcomes and publicise successful operations to reassure the public and deter offenders.

    Enforcement: Target individuals involved in causing ASB.
    Partnership: Work with partner agencies to address underlying issues and safeguard vulnerable individuals.
    Intelligence: Develop and act upon intelligence to identify hotspots and offenders.

    Actions & Responsibilities:
    High-Visibility and Intelligence Led Patrols:
    - Deploy officers to known hotspot locations during peak times associated with ASB activity.
    - Use a combination of foot and cycle patrols to increase visibility and disruption.

    Targeted Enforcement:
    - Use of Early Intervention Scheme (EIS), ASB warnings.
    - Use of Community Protection Warnings (CPW) and Community Protection Notices (CPN) for repeat offenders.
    - Use of closure orders to target premises involved in ASB and wider criminality.

    Community Engagement & Prevention:
    - Engage with residents and local businesses to gather information and provide reassurance.
    - Promote reporting of ASB concerns via the appropriate channels (e.g. 101, Met Online & Crimestoppers).

    Partnership Working:
    - Work with local authority, housing providers and outreach services to address locations linked to repeat ASB activity.
    - Refer vulnerable individuals to support services
    - Collaborate with agencies to address associated anti-social behaviour and safeguarding concerns.

    Intelligence Gathering:
    - Ensure all ASB incidents are accurately recorded.
    - Identify repeat locations, offenders and emerging trends.

    Robbery
    Roehampton has seen an in increase in street robberies with current crime analysis identifying Danebury Avenue as a current hot spot.
    Regular operational updates are being provided via the use of Met Engage.

    Aim:
    Reduction and prevent robbery offences in Roehampton, SW15.

    Key Priorities:
    Prevention: Deter robbery through a combination of visible policing and community engagement.
    Enforcement: Target individuals involved in Robbery both residing in and committing offences on Roehampton ward.
    Partnership: Work closely and hold regular discussions with Wandsworth Council, offender management and social services to refer offenders to diversionary schemes where suitable to prevent further offending.
    Intelligence: Develop and act upon intelligence to identify hotspots and repeat offenders.

    Actions & Responsibilities:
    High-Visibility and Plain Clothes Patrols:
    - Deploy officers to known hotspot locations during peak times and where there is high footfall to prevent offences from being committed.
    - Use a combination of uniform and cycle patrols to increase visibility, deter offenders and improve the community’s perception of safety.
    - Conduct plain clothes operations where suitable to disrupt and detain offenders.

    Targeted Enforcement:
    - Carry out stop and search where grounds exist in line with legislation and policy.
    - Assist colleagues in the SW CID and Proactive units with investigation and intelligence sharing to solve recorded offences.
    - Target and disrupt known offenders who are involved in robbery offences both locally and elsewhere in the borough of Wandsworth who frequent Roehampton ward.
    - Utilise existing legislation and the MPS’s early intervention scheme to disrupt and divert offenders from engaging in offending.

    Community Engagement & Prevention:
    - Engage the wider community to gather information which can be acted upon.
    - Promote confidential reporting of crime and other information via the appropriate channels (e.g. 101, Met Online & Crimestoppers).
    - Host crime prevention inputs to raise awareness of robbery and provide residents with means to reduce the risk of becoming victimised
    - Conduct weapon sweeps in areas to deter weapon-enabled offences and remove said dangerous items from the street.

    Partnership Working:
    - Work with Wandsworth Council and its housing department to address factors contributing to robbery offences (poor lighting, insecure blocks, lack of CCTV).
    - Use our information sharing arrangements with housing, offender management and social services to refer offenders to diversionary schemes where suitable.
    - Work with Wandsworth Council to take other action against individuals causing serious detriment to local quality of life (civil injunctions, breach of tenancy

    Intelligence Gathering:
    - Ensure all local robbery offences are reviewed and accurately recorded.
    - Identify repeat locations, offenders and emerging trends.
    - Share intelligence with neighbouring wards and relevant police units such as CID and proactive crime teams to enable joint taskings and best outcomes being achieved for victims.

    Enforcement Strategy:
    - Prioritise enforcement against those actively involved in robbery.
    - Make effective use of police searches, of persons vehicles and premises, to gather evidence to strengthen cases along with officer statements, forensic opportunities and intelligence submissions.
    - Use wider police powers to remove tools used to enable robbery, such as traffic powers to seize vehicles like ebikes.
    - Where appropriate, make use of court orders upon conviction against the most prolific offenders to reduce the harm they pose and enable swifter action to be taken against them in the future.

    Communication:
    - Update the community via Met Engage and social media on enforcement activity, outcomes and publicise successful operations to reassure the public and deter offenders.
    - Use Met Engage as a crime prevention portal to publicise appeals for witnesses/information, advertise events and provide free advice.
