Police take all reports of anti-social behaviour seriously and will deal robustly with anyone engaging in behaviour that causes nuisance, alarm, or distress within the community.

Our Neighbourhood Policing Team is actively monitoring reports of ASB on Winterbourne High Street, which remains a key location for community activity. Officers conduct regular high-visibility patrols in the area, focusing on identified hotspots and peak times, to deter offending and provide reassurance to the public. We work closely with local businesses, residents, and partner agencies to identify those responsible for anti-social behaviour and take appropriate action. This includes early intervention where suitable, alongside enforcement where necessary, to prevent ongoing issues and protect the local community. We recognise that some individuals involved in ASB may be vulnerable. As such, we adopt a balanced approach, working with families, support services, and partner organisations to encourage positive behaviour while maintaining a firm stance on unacceptable conduct. If you experience or witness anti-social behaviour on Winterbourne High Street or elsewhere, please report it to us. You can contact us through:

    • Our website (online reporting)
    • 101 for non-emergencies
    • 999 if a crime is in progress or there is an immediate risk to safety
Your reports help us target patrols, identify repeat issues, and take action to keep Winterbourne a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
