About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Business crime within Sutton Town centre including working with the Business Improvement District to identify repeat and prolific offenders and bring them to justice. Due to a recent rise in shop thefts a specific targeting of these offenders.

    The team has recently supported the Business Improvement District in applying for new cctv cameras around the town centre. We have also made contact with Offend to Recovery and will be working closely with them to engage with local vulnerable people who are often responsible for a number of crimes.

  • Priority:

    Combat Anti-social behaviour within Sutton Town Centre through working with partner agencies including Birmingham City Council to address repeat ASB issues and utilise enforcement action on prolific offenders where appropriate

    Action taken:

    Working in partnership with the Safer Travel Team, Sutton Trinity officers have managed to identify a number of youths who have been causing asb in the town centre. As a result of obtaining details, we have managed to link them to criminal offences such as theft and deal with the crime accordingly and take positive action and detect crime.

    Ensure residents of Sutton Trinity feel safe and reassured in their lives by providing regular contact with their Neighbourhood Team and having officers be as visible as possible where needed.

    Action taken:

    Sutton Trinity are regularly completing high visibility patrols around the areas highlighted by local residents. This includes the local PCSOs conducting foot patrols around the town centre at key times before and after college/school in order to deter anti social behaviour.
