About us

    To work with Road Safety partners within West Midlands Police and outside agencies to promote safer roads in Kingstanding, especially around schools.

    Action taken:

    We regular hold community speed watch events within the Kingstanding area on roads which have been identified which road users use to speed. These are being conducted by our trained PSCOs who regularly conduct and enforce speeding events. We look to target areas which have been identified by the public and are also conduct patrols around school ingress and egress to manage road traffic.

    Ensure residents of Kingstanding feel safe and reassured in their lives by providing regular contact with their Neighbourhood Team and ensure return to schools is smooth with children feeling safe coming and going to school.

    Action taken:

    Neighbourhood officers have been continuously engaged and visible within the community. Officers are regularly out in vehicles and bikes in order to act as a deterrent for any possible crime or anti social behaviour. We also continue with our cuppa with a coppa events and use this as a means to engage with our communities. We continue to work closely with council and other partner agencies to make streets safer.

    Combat Anti-social behaviour within Wyrley Birch through working with partner agencies including Birmingham City Council to address repeat ASB issues and utilise enforcement action on prolific offenders where appropriate

    Action taken:

    In order to tackle ASB within the Wyrley Birch we have been increasing patrols and presence within the area, this includes holding pop up meetings and cuppa with a coppa events within the area. We continue to work with partner agencies and other departments in West Midlands Police in order to provide a joint approach to tackling the crime within the area.
