About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

There has been an increase in complaints from local residents regarding speeding and other road traffic offences on roads in Hall Green. A number of roads have been highlighted including the Stratford Road.

    Issued 19 May 2026

    Action taken:

We have held traffic operations across Hall Green and Springfield with a number of locations targeted including the Stratford Road.

Our Special Constabulary held a highly successful operation in Hall Green at the end of January where a high number of tickets were given and vehicles seized.

We have a further traffic operation with the Road Harm Prevention team in March 2026.

We have held our own speed operations at various locations including Baldwins Lane, Robin Hood Lane, Highfield Road and Stratford Road during April 2026.

We will be continuing to take action on driving offences across the ward.

    Actioned 19 May 2026

  • Priority:

The community have raised concerns about an increase in anti-social behaviour at a number of locations across the ward whereby vehicles and individuals are congregating and engaging in this activity. The main concern focuses on the illegal use Nitrous Oxide, which is subsequently being littered on streets.

    Issued 19 May 2026

    Action taken:

We are working closely with both our internal and external partners to tackle the issue of nitrous oxide. This includes both the illegal sale and use of this drug.

The team are reviewing intelligence and visiting locations identified in the illegal sale with trading standards.

Our patrol strategy also incorporates known ASB hotspot locations so they are regularly visited by officers. We have seized a number of cannisters of nitrous oxide alongside other drugs when visiting these locations and enforcement will continue.

We encourage the public to contact us when issues arise on their streets so we are aware and can tackle these accordingly.

    Actioned 19 May 2026

  • Priority:

The community inform us they would appreciate more ways to hear some of the work taking place by the local neighbourhood team.

    Issued 19 May 2026

    Action taken:

We are using social media to publish some of the work taking place via X and WMNOW.

We also publish a monthly newsletter which is posted to social media and passed to partners in the local area.

We are holding drop-in sessions with our officers every 4-6 weeks at locations across the ward with our most recent drop-in being at Highfield Hall on 22nd April 2026. Our next drop in is booked for 13th June 2026 (see meetings page for further detail)

We held our mobile police station at various locations across the ward in Novemeber 2025 and March 2026 that the public attended and spoke with local officers from the team. We will be holding future mobile police stations in the coming months.

    Actioned 19 May 2026
