    ASB and offences occurring in Edgwick Park, continuing as priority for the ward.
    These patrols will continue as part of ongoing efforts to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all park users.
    The community is encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

    Action taken:

    Throughout November December and January officers have maintained a visible presence in Edgwick park as part of our commitment to public safety and crime prevention. Activity has included:
    -High visibility patrols and targeted reassurance to families and park users.
    -Weapon sweeps using metal detectors, with checks for discarded or concealed items.
    -Enforcement of the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO), particularly for alcohol related breaches.
    -Engagement with Large groups of youths, leading to several stop searches.
    -Ongoing intelligence gathering in relation to suspected drug activity.
    These efforts aim to deter anti-social behaviour and ensure the parks remains a safe environment for the whole community.

    Operation conducted 07/08 in park, several males arrested for drugs offences , with conditions not to be in the park . Operations will continue over the next couple of months, to ensure the park is safe for everyone

    further operations have been conducted in the park over the last month resulting in numerous stop searches and arrests ( including those for drug offences ) . Several suspects have been bailed with conditions not to be in the park. Local officers are continuing to conduct patrols and weapon sweep the park. ASB and disorderly behaviour will be not be tolerated in Public open spaces .
    since this targeted activity, reports of ASB has reduced, however, the park will continue to be patrolled on a regular basis , local youths seen in park engaged with , members of the public who frequent park always happy to see Police presence

    Will remain as priority for rest of the year, daily patrols ensue, long term problem solving working with partners and community , identifying root causes and exploring environmental improvements to make the park safer and more welcoming for the community.

    18th December: patrols in the park continue, on a daily basis. Stop searches continue to be carried out, where appropriate. We are working closely with may internal and external partnership agencies to disrupt criminal activity and safeguard those at risk, with further targeted operations planned.
    Edgwick park remains a priority location due to recent arrests for drug related offences . Further targeted operations planned and design out crime recommendations reviewed.

    22/04/26: Addressing this action continues to be a priority, enforcement activity and patrols will continue. In light of recent events in the surrounding area, officers will maintain a visible presence to provide reassurance and deter further offending .

    MARCH : weapon sweeps conducted on regular occasions, West Midlands Police Mounted Unit have patrolled the park and the community has given positive feedback about their engagement. The local Police team will also be working with youth provisions to provide outreach work in the area/park.

    May 2025: Long term problem solving continues with patrols and further targeted activity planned for the month of May and June

    Stoney Stanton road , reports of non residents in the block, drinking alcohol, smoking cannabis, causing nuisance to residents

    Local Police team will be working with housing officers to tackle this issue, reports of ASB in late evening, officers have been patrolling during this time and will issue Community protection notices and warnings to those responsible or who do not have a legitimate reason to be in the block.
    This will remain as a priority for this month , further intelligence about drug use and ASB in block, partnership work continues with housing
