About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Concerns raised about thefts from motor vehicle in the Blakenhall area.

    Action taken:

    Officers are conducting both uniformed an plain clothes patrols in the are.

    Offenders have been identified and arrests have been made.

    Further investigations are being conducted and we will keep you informed via WM Now messaging.

    Officers have arrested a male in connection with theft from motor vehicle.

    Additional patrols are ongoing.

    Local Cllrs have raised concerns about off road vehicles in the Springvale area combined with street racing in the evening.

    Action taken:

    Local officers are working with force traffic and the local authority to take enforcement action.

    In regards to street racing, the OP Hercules team have prosecuted nearly 200 offenders and this figure with continue to rise.

    Consultations have been made with the local authority and operations planned.

    Operations have been conducted weekend of 28/03 and results to be published on social media channels.

    Further LPA wide operations are in progress and joint working with the LA.

    Officers have followed a male and detained them, leading to a seizure of off road bike.

    Residents have raised concerns for the area in terms of ASB and drug dealing.

    Action taken:

    Officers are pro actively targeting suspects led by intelligence. Officers for the local team in conjunction with officers from various departments are patrolling hotspot areas and taking enforcement action where applicable.

    The local team have arrested a number of key nominals in the last few weeks who involved in drug dealing.

    Further arrests for drug dealing have been made and advertised on our social media channels.

    Officers will conduct patrols with the ASB team partners.
