Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Local Priority - Residential Burglary - specifically around the Highters Heath Lane, Warstock Road, Alcester Road South areas.

    Issued 05 August 2026

    Action taken:

In the last month, The Billesley ward has had 6 burglaries of homes. This is a slight increase over normal figures and so far this year we are 11% up on previous years figures. We will be attending key locations and completing target hardening work with potential victims and people who have been the victims of burglaries.
If you would like advice around crime prevention please view the West Midlands Police website - https://www.westmidlands.police.uk/cp/crime-prevention/protect-home-crime/ or speak to PCSO Owen who can come and offer tailored advice around your home.

If you have any information around burglaries in the area and would like to speak anonymously and confidentially, please contact crimestoppers on 0800 555 1111 or message on their website.

    Actioned 05 August 2026

  • Priority:

    Community Priority - Parking concerns.

The community have informed us that vehicles parking inconsiderately around school pick up/drop off times is a problem. They have also mentioned that the speed vehicles are travelling, specifically Yardley Wood Road and Chinn brook Road, is deemed excessive.

    Issued 05 August 2026

    Action taken:

Reports of the parking complaints have remained low, specificvally around schools with them being off. We are still receiving complaints about parking in residential areas which we are acting on.
If you see offences, please let us know. If you have dashcam footage please look up Operation Snap on the internet and submit the footage.

We are in the process of arranging speeding operations and would welcome support from the community around this - please get in touch with PCSO Owen if you feel you can support.

I would encourage the local community to report further issues around this matter on the website - direct to the local team or to Crimestoppers anonymously.

    Actioned 05 August 2026

  • Priority:

    Force Priority - Operation Guardian
Following a review of crime figures in the area and intelligence received from the local community, Youth based violence and knife crime has been raised as a concern. We will continue to work to reduce these issues within the community and offer safeguarding and support to those who have been a victim.

    Issued 22 July 2026

    Action taken:

The Billesley team will continue to complete targeted patrols to tackle the issue. This will be a mixture of full uniform and plain clothed patrols. The team will patrol the main streets, shopping areas and parks to ensure the community is safe. We have arrested a youth today for causing a number of issues in the local community.
If you have any information you feel may be useful to us please speak to a member of our team or use Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on their website.
