About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Issue: Anti-Social Behaviour

    This is a priority for the next 3 months, based on community feedback, crime data and engagements with partners.

    Action taken:

    We will:
    -Deal robustly with any persons committing anti-social behaviour, working together with our partners and making use of available legislation.
    -Ensure Officers are regularly visible in areas of concern & ASB hotspots, such as the Woodrow Centre.

    We did:
    - Numerous hotpot patrols at Woodrow centre.
    - PACT meeting with partners at the Hub - members of the public attended to raise concerns in local area.
    - Walkabout with housing, public health and community members - identified street lighting that needed repairing, an e-bike seized while walk about taking place and damage identified to local infrastructure that will now be repaired

    Issue: Drug use & supply

    This is a priority for the next 3 months, based on community feedback, crime data and engagement with partners.

    Action taken:

    We will:
    -Deal proactively with drug use & supply in Greenlands & Lodge Park, with a particular focus on working with partners to address the root causes of drug use in the community.

    We did: A number of stop searches carried out in the location under misuse of drugs act.

    Issue: Speeding
    This is a priority for the next 3 months, based on community feedback, recorded data and engagement with partners.

    Action taken:

    We will:
    -Review data and community concerns, working together with partners to be visible on our roads.
    -Provide education as well as proactive enforcement with available tools, such as TruCAM.

    We did - Speed enforcement on Studley Road having been identified as an area of concern by local residents
