About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Priority 1: Nuisance Motorbikes

    You said: This is a priority for the next 3 months, based on resident feedback, crime data, and ongoing local concerns regarding the use of off-road bikes and nuisance riding in public spaces.

    Action taken:

    We will:

    - Conduct targeted patrols in hotspot areas identified through intelligence and community reports
    - Use powers to seize vehicles being used illegally under Section 59 and related legislation
    - Work with partner agencies and landowners to identify access points and reduce opportunities for illegal riding
    - Gather intelligence and identify repeat offenders
    - Engage with the community to encourage reporting of incidents and sharing of information

    WE DID:

    • 2x Section 59s issued to those identified as riding an off-road bike
    • Walk around with ASB team lead and Parish Council Clerk at Stirchley Fields to assess access points and camera opportunities
    • NHM posted "You said we did" to encourage residents to continue reporting
    • Hi vis patrols around areas identified as being a hotspot for off road bike activity

    We will:

    - Carry out reassurance patrols in affected residential areas
    - Provide crime prevention advice focusing on shed and property security (locks, lighting, marking tools)
    - Use local crime data to identify patterns and target patrols accordingly
    - Work with partner agencies to promote property marking and security initiatives
    - Conduct enquiries to identify and disrupt offenders

    Priority 3: Anti-Social Behaviour (General)

    You said: This is a priority for the next 3 months, based on resident feedback, crime data, and ongoing concerns relating to general anti-social behaviour affecting the community.

    We will:

    - Conduct high-visibility patrols in identified locations
    - Engage with individuals involved in anti-social behaviour and use appropriate powers to address offending
    - Work with partner agencies to provide early intervention and diversion opportunities
    - Issue Community Protection Warnings/Notices where appropriate
    - Engage with residents through community meetings, surveys, and local engagement activity to better understand concerns
