About us

    Bicycle/ Motorcycle Theft: The Rural Central Team has seen a slight increase in reported stolen motorcycles from Ryton-on-Dunsmore area.

    Action taken:

    - Officers will engage directly with motorcyclist to raised awareness.
    - Provide Bike marking opportunities to help deter theft and aid recovery
    - Deliver targeted crime prevention advice, including secure parking and anti-theft methods
    - Conduct High Visibility Patrols in identified hotspots locations to deter offending and reassure the community.

    Off Road, Nuisance Motorcycles: There has been an increase in anti-social use of off-road motorcycles within open spaces in Brandon and Binley Woods.

    - Conduct increased high-visibility patrols in identified hotspot locations to deter offending and reassure the public.
    - Target individuals involved in anti-social riding through proactive policing.
    - Use enforcement powers, including Section 59 warnings, to address nuisance riders and seize motorcycles from repeat offenders.
    - Develop and gather intelligence to identify those responsible and support targeted enforcement activity.
