    The Wycombe East team have been dealing with drug offences and linked anti-social behaviour in residential areas such as Hampden Way, Micklefield Road, Underwood road and Lingfield

    Action taken:

    The Wycombe East Neighbourhood Policing Team has continued to take proactive action to tackle drug-related activity and associated anti-social behaviour across the area. The team successfully secured an extension to the Closure Order on Arnison Avenue, helping to disrupt ongoing criminal activity and protect local residents. Officers have also carried out a number of stop and searches based on intelligence and community concerns, resulting in increased engagement and enforcement opportunities. In addition, high-visibility patrols have been conducted in known hotspot locations, including Hampden Way, Micklefield Road, Underwood road and Lingfield, following reports of suspected drug activity. These patrols aim to deter offending, gather intelligence and provide reassurance to the local community.

    Residents around the Totteridge and Micklefield continue to raise concerns about speeding vehicles as well as dangerous and anti-social driving in the area due to risk it poses to the safety of the local community. Roads that have been reported to have these issues include but are not limited to: Hicks Farm Rise, Micklefield Road, Totteridge Lane, Arnison Avenue, Bowerdean Road, Amersham Hill, Hughenden Road and Green Hill.

    In August, the Wycombe East Neighbourhood Policing Team has taken positive action to address speeding concerns and vehicle related anti-social behaviour across the area. Working closely with the DVLA, officers targeted untaxed and abandoned vehicles that had been reported by members of the community. As a result, six vehicles were removed and more than 20 vehicles were clamped, helping to improve the appearance of local neighbourhoods and reduce issues caused by nuisance vehicles. The team has also carried out enforcement activity against motorists committing traffic offences, issuing a number of non- endorsable fixed penalty notices for offences such as causing obstructions and failing to display vehicle registration plates correctly. In addition, Parking Enforcement Officers worked alongside the Wycombe East team to tackle inconsiderate and unlawful parking, issuing penalty notices to vehicles parked on double yellow lines. This joint working approach has helped improve road safety, reduce congestion and ensure that roads and footways remain accessible for all members of the community. These measures help promote road safety and ensure vehicles are being used lawfully. In addition, officers conducted several speed enforcement operations using speed detection equipment across the Micklefield, Totteridge and Terriers areas. These operations allowed the team to gather data on vehicle speeds and identify problem locations. The highest speed recorded during these checks was 38mph, providing valuable information to support future enforcement and road safety initiatives within the community.

    Anti-social behaviour continues to be a neighbourhood priority that the Wycombe East team focus on, with their main aim being to increase positive outcomes for ASB crime.

    Recently the team have been focusing on issues such as youth anti-social behaviour, including the misuse of surron bikes and drug use.

    This month, the Wycombe East Neighbourhood Policing Team has continued to address anti-social behaviour (ASB) concerns across the area through proactive patrols, engagement and enforcement. Officers have carried out numerous high-visibility patrols and identified groups of youths involved in ASB within the Totteridge Lane area, gathering names and intelligence to support ongoing interventions. Additional high-visibility patrols have been conducted in Hillary Road, Totteridge Lane and Micklefield Road following reports of Surron bikes being used in a manner that has caused alarm and distress to local residents. As part of a wider approach to tackling persistent ASB, the team has also issued three Acceptable Behaviour Contracts (ABCs) to individuals who have come to police attention due to their behaviour and actions, not only within the Micklefield and Totteridge areas but also in High Wycombe town centre. These measures aim to prevent further incidents, improve community safety and provide reassurance to residents.
