About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    *Drugs*
The Wycombe East team have been dealing with drug offences and linked anti-social behaviour in residential areas such as Olympic Way, Lingfield Close, Leas Close and Buckingham close.

    Issued 31 May 2026

    Action taken:

High-visibility patrols have been conducted across the Wycombe East area, with officers also carrying out stop and search activities where lawful grounds exist. In addition, the team have worked proactively to obtain several closure orders. These orders are aimed at safeguarding vulnerable individuals from exploitation and preventing properties from being used for drug-related activity.
Currently, there are active closure orders in place at addresses on Leas Close, Arnison Avenue, and Buckingham Drive. The Wycombe East team is conducting regular and robust checks at these locations to ensure that the conditions of the closure orders are being fully adhered to.
Furthermore, the Wycombe East team has increased high-visibility patrols around Lingfield and underwood road, and Arnison avenue area due to a rise in reports of drug dealing, following a very successful warrant.

We encourage anybody with information regarding drug offences to report this via 101 or on the TVP website, alternatively if you do not want to speak to police directly, please contact the anonymous reporting service CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111, or on their website crimestoppers-uk.org

  • Priority:

    *Speeding*
Residents around the Totteridge and Micklefield continue to raise concerns about speeding vehicles as well as dangerous and anti-social driving in the area due to risk it poses to the safety of the local community. Roads that have been reported to have these issues include but are not limited to: Hicks Farm Rise, Micklefield Road, Totteridge Lane, Arnison Avenue, Bowerdean Road, Amersham Hill, Hughenden Road and Green Hill.

    Issued 31 May 2026

    Action taken:

In June, the team carried out a speeding operation on Arnison Avenue. The visible deterrent of the officers with speed guns may have been effective as many drivers were recorded to be driving at or below the legal speed limit, however there were a few who did exceed the limit, with the highest speed recorded being 38mph. The team will use this data to plan further operations.

If you have any information please report on 101 or online at www. thamesvalley.police.uk.
Call 999 if a crime is in progress or you are at risk of harm.

  • Priority:

Anti-social behaviour continues to be a neighbourhood priority that the Wycombe East team focus on, with their main aim being to increase positive outcomes for ASB crime. They will do so be increasing the use powers such as closure orders, criminal behaviour orders and community protection warnings/notices. They will also look to maximise partnership working, working with housing and the council to come up with new solutions.

Recently the team have been focusing on issues such as nitrous oxide usage and the subsequent littering of cans, it has been seen that this is often linked to vehicle anti-social behaviour.

    Issued 31 May 2026

    Action taken:

The team have completed high visibility patrols throughout Totteridge and Micklefield, specifically on streets and residential areas that are the most impact by anti-social behaviour and targeting the patrols at times of day where the behaviour is reported to be most prominent. They will continue to do so in order to both collect intelligence and deter anti-social behaviour.
The team also continue to hold their Have You Say events, routinely committing to a few every month to give local residents the opportunity to voice any concerns for their community which is very useful for the team, in return people are offered crime prevention and safety advice.

In addition the team have been tackling the matter of untaxed vehicles and obstructive parking. In a recent day of action in June, officers worked with the DVLA to focus on untaxed vehicles. A number of vehicles were identified and subsequently seized or clamped where appropriate, helping to keep the roads safe and ensuring compliance with vehicle taxation requirements.

If you have any information please report on 101 or online at www. thamesvalley.police.uk.
Call 999 if a crime is in progress or you are at risk of harm.
