About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

RBC have reported concerns over drug dealing and use coming from an address on Hadrains Walk, which appears to come from an address that appears to be subject to cuckooing

    Issued 23 July 2026

    Action taken:

A further address on this estate has now been the subject of an application of partial closure order due to reports of cuckooing and drug dealing in the area. We are now working with Reading Borough Council and partners to manage this address and supporting the tenant with their housing needs

    Actioned 05 October 2026

  • Priority:

drug activity around the Heroe’s Walk area of Whitley Wood, which has come to the attention of TVP and Reading Borough Council

    Issued 23 July 2026

    Action taken:

The team are still proactively patrolling the area and managing the Closure Order that is in place.
At this time we are still working with Reading Borough Council to safeguard a number of individuals, and we have seen a decrease in reported drug activity

    Actioned 05 October 2026

  • Priority:

Following the recent Safer Neighbourhood Meeting, Farmers Close has been identified as being busy with drug dealing and Cannabis use, more so in the car parks that face out towards the park

    Issued 23 July 2026

    Action taken:

Following a further Safer Neighbourhood Forum in this area, there is still reported issues with Cannabis use from address's and an increase of illegal e-bikes and e-scooters being used in the area. The team are looking to identify properties and persons involved and will look to take robust action on anyone identified

    Actioned 05 October 2026
