About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Anti-social Behaviour (ASB) in Wheatley High Street

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

Anti-social behaviour in Wheatley remains low but we are conscious that with summer underway this is likely to increase. We have 2 new PCSOs starting with the team so look forward to being able to provide greater footfall and the ability to tackle ASB as it arises. With the new park being erected we will be working with the Parish Council to ensure it is well patrolled.

    Actioned 16 July 2026

  • Priority:

Neighbourhood Crime (Theft from Motor Vehicles)

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

Our primary suspects for the Theft from Motor Vehicle series at Junction 8A Services of the M40 remain on bail whilst our colleagues in or Priority Crime Team investigate the offences fully. I am pleased to report offending is vastly reduced thanks to our joint work with the Services and their CCTV systems. Local offences to Thame are also reduced due to thorough work earlier this year in relation to a local offender.

    Actioned 16 July 2026

  • Priority:

Anti-Social parking and business use in the villages

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

Following up on the success of Operation Multiball in Garsington and Littleworth we will be meeting with representatives from the District and County Councils to tackle Anti-Social parking and business use in Littleworth utilising a similar approach. The situation in Garsington continues to be vastly improved and the team continue to patrol regularly alongside partners.

    Actioned 16 July 2026
