About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Antisocial behaviour including use of privately owned e-scooters and E-bikes in a public place as well as hired e-scooters being ridden in a dangerous manner

    Issued 30 June 2026

    Action taken:

E-scooters are being used in areas with heavy pedestrian activity such as red ways, around and Westcroft District centre.
Residents have reported people riding two or three up on hire scooters and people riding private hire scooters too fast.
We have recently added a “hotspot” patrol location inclusive of Elfield Park. As well as this, we have completed joint operations with our tasking team and will continue to drive the enforcement in relation to the concerns raised.
We are continuing to promote and educate members of the public, engage with schools around the use/law on private e-scooters. We have issued warning letters and seized a number of scooters as part of our operations.

    Actioned 30 June 2026

  • Priority:

Shoplifting & Youth ASB Westcroft District Centre

    Issued 30 June 2026

    Action taken:

The shops and restaurants at Westcroft District Centre are seeing an increased level of ASB and shoplifting.
We are still patrolling daily, having identified Westcroft as a “hotspot” patrol location. We promote the use of DISC signups and ASB reporting. We have continued to sign stores up to this system.

Westcroft District Centre Patrols are still targeted after school kick out time to robustly deal with any anti-social behaviour occurring. We obtain any still images/CCTV of offenders involved and liaise with schools such as Shenley Brooke End Academy and Hazeley Academy to identify those involved and obtain contact information for parents.

Consult Westcroft District Centre PSO to identify any youths who have/haven’t had any police interaction in relation to this issue already.
Utilising our mobile CCTV facilities to continue to build a picture of the incidents.

    Actioned 30 June 2026

  • Priority:

Drug dealing – Westcroft District Centre & surrounding car parks

    Issued 30 June 2026

    Action taken:

The shops and restaurants at Westcroft District Centre and surrounding car parks are seeing an increased level of drug use and dealing.
Patrols and engagements on a daily basis inclusive of our “hotspot” locations. We have conducted stop and searches of vehicles and will continue with patrols in relation to this.

    Actioned 30 June 2026
