    Speeding concerns covering all parishes in the Risborough and surrounding areas has been identified as a community priority according to a recent survey.
    PCSO 9588 CUBBAGE is the Speeding SPOC and continues to take personal responsibility for tackling speeding issues in Princes Risborough and Surrounding areas.

    Action taken:

    Following information gathered from speed surveys as well as information from members of the public, the team visited Bryants Bottom, Cryers Hill, Great Kingshill, Naphill, Princes Risborough, Longwick and Ellesborough to carry out speed enforcement. Over the course of the day, 12 drivers were issued with tickets for exceeding the posted speed limit in these areas. These drivers were reported and will either receive a fine and points on their licence or a driving awareness course and in one instance, the possibility of a driving ban for excessive speed. Speed surveys were also carried out in North Dean and Speen. During the surveys, 10 vehicles were seen to be exceeding the posted speed limit in these areas. The information gathered here goes onto support speed operation planning and the team will look to visit these areas in the coming months.

    The residents of Princes Risborough voted rogue traders and scams to be a top priority for their local neighbourhood team to focus on.

    Action taken:

    The Princes Risborough neighbourhood team will continue to work with residents and partners to keep the community safe from rogue traders and scams. This can include public meetings such as "have your say" events or scam prevention talks, where the team will offer practical safety advice to avoid being targeted by scams. They also continue to work with partner agency and actionfraud to safeguard and support people who have already been victims of the offence. The team will also continue to gather intel around suspected rogue traders in the area.

    Anti-social behaviour has been highlighted as a top community concern in the recent neighbourhood priorities survey. The Princes Risborough neighbourhood team continue to deal with issues such as youth anti-social behaviour, drugs and illegal motorbike use around Princes Risborough and surrounding areas.

    Action taken:

    The team have issued Acceptable Behaviour contracts (ABC) to youths seen to be causing issues in the community. It is a voluntary contract between the individual and police that aims to intervene and prevent further anti-social behaviour before it has to escalate to more formal legal action. It also teaches the young people the impact of their anti-social behaviour, the dangers of continuing this behaviour into adulthood and also offers them assistance to change their habits. With the schools starting up again, the issue of youth anti-social behaviour will continue to be monitored and dealt with robustly.

    In early August, the Princes Risborough neighbourhood team conducted a day of action to deal with anti-social behaviour. This was following reports of illegal motorbikes being ridden around green spaces and woodlands. Joined by their roads policing colleagues and surrounding neighbourhood teams, tickets were given to a group of motorcyclists for traffic offences, one driver was spoken to for number plate offences and a further vehicle was issued with a parking notice for causing an obstruction. They focused patrols around the Fields Estate, covering Earl Mitchell Park, and the surround area along with areas in Walters Ash.

    Recently, the team have also been carrying out increased patrols around hot spot areas for anti-social behaviour such as St Durstan Park in Monks Risborough, the high street in Princes Risborough, along with park areas such as Commbe Hill and Whiteleaf Hill.
