About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Burglary Dwellings around Haddenham and surrounding areas has again been voted as a priority in the May 2026 community survey.

    Action taken:

    The local neighbourhood policing team are working to deter and reduce burglary dwelling
    We will measure improvements by comparing previous numbers of reports to those numbers moving forward. All data to be shared in future updates. PCSO Fahy and police volunteer Linda conducted a crime prevention leaflet drop in the target areas
    June update: 2 business burglary in May in the Haddenham area. No residential burglary reported.
    July update: 1 Business burglary in June Waddesdon area, 4 residential burglary in Haddenham.
    TV alert sent out and crime prevention leaflet drop in Ickford
    Actions to include using Social media to share crime prevention messages. At the start of April we sent out a TV alert the the residents of Waddesdon & Haddenham with prevention advice along with a downloadable home security guide. We will be holding minimum monthly have your Say events, to be advertised on social media
    This priority will be reviewed quarterly as per community survey results and the actions reviewed 30th monthly to ensure progress or change actions.

    Speeding covering all parishes was voted again as a priority in the May 2026 community survey.

    Bicester Road, Long Crendon
    The Strand, Quainton
    Lower Street, Quainton
    Ashendon
    Main Street, Ashendon
    Dorton road, Chilton
    Thame road, Brill.
    Station road, Marsh Gibbon
    Sunny Bank, Ford.
    Bicester road, Oakley.

    The local neighbourhood policing team are working to improve community safety by reducing speeding.
    We will measure improvements by comparing previous numbers of reports to those numbers moving forward. All data to be shared in future updates.
    Actions to include Speed surveys to be completed across a 3 month period. Results to be shared in future update.
    June update: speed operations planned for mid June across the area, details and results to be shared in next update.
    Further surveys will be conducted to then plan enforcement operations in target areas. .

    Drug related crime has been voted a priority in the May 2026 community survey.
    Areas of concern include:
    The Whistler, Haddenham.
    Springhill prison (bringing packages being delivered).
    Warmstone Lane, Waddesdon.
    Marsh Gibbon football ground.

    Action taken:

    The Waddesdon & Haddenham neighbourhood policing team are working with local residents, businesses and partners to identify offenders and deter drug related crime in the area. Month on month recorded figures will be compared to monitor progression with this priority. Actions to include Hi Visibility along with plain clothes operations in most affected areas. Social media posts and TV alerts to be sent regarding drugs and the need for member of public help in reporting issues.
    June update: 1 recorded possession of drugs in May 2026.
    July update: 1 possession in Haddenham in June 2026.
    This new priority will be reviewed quarterly in line with community survey results and actions reviewed 30th monthly to ensure progression.
