About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

  • Priority:

    E-scooters, and speeding vehicles

    Issued 02 September 2026

    Action taken:

Officers have been working with traffic trained officers including the community speed van to add Nine mile ride and their extension to their patrols and area’s to combat speeding. There have been good results and some traffic offenders have received fines and points for their road use. A long side this officers and PCSO’s have been parking up on the side of the road as a warning to other road users to make them aware of the police’s Prescence on the road. Officers have been responding to numerous incidents of E-Bikes and E-Scooters in Aborfield Green and have now seized a handful of these illegal motor vehicles.

Drug use and Drug Dealing in Arnett Avenue Finchampstead

    Issued 14 September 2026

    Action taken:

Officers and PCSO's continue to patrol the area both on foot and in vehicles. Police will be working with local residents and the council with their housing and anti social behaviour team to try and prevent this from occurring. Police will be joining a meeting with the council late October to work out a solution. Operations will now be used to prevent further ASB by arresting offenders and concentrating on addresses of concern which we are receiving intelligence about.

  • Priority:

Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and Drug taking around California Country Park and FBC

    Issued 02 September 2026

    Action taken:

Officers and PCSO’S have been conducting patrols both in vehicles and on foot in and around California Country Park and the back of the FBC centre after numerous reports of ASB involving teenagers, drinking, smoking and riding illegal ebikes and scooters in the park and targeting normal members of the public with foul language. Officers and PCSO’s have been working with the staff at the café at the park and members of staff at the FBC to try and identify times, locations and individuals to try and prevent this happening in the future. Dispersals of Groups of youths have taken place at the FBC and Gorse Ride. Work has taken place with Youth Justice Unit to tackle the underlying causes of ASB and to see what can be provided in the community to deter ASB and offending.
