About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Targeted patrols continue in and around The Curve, St Ethelbert’s and Yew Tree Road Park to address alcohol-related anti-social behaviour. Displacement of street drinkers into these areas has been identified following ongoing town centre redevelopment. Officers will maintain a visible presence, using enforcement powers where appropriate, while working with Slough Borough Council and partner agencies to support longer-term solutions.

    Issued 26 August 2026

    Action taken:

•Conduct high-visibility patrols in identified hotspot areas.
•Tackle alcohol-related ASB and utilise alcohol seizure powers where appropriate.
•Signpost vulnerable individuals to relevant support services.
•Work with Slough Borough Council to address ongoing issues.
•Gather evidence to support Community Protection Notices and other interventions for repeat offenders.
•Consider the use of dispersal powers where necessary

Between 1 July and 21 August, officers seized 92 quantities of alcohol. We will continue to use available powers to seize alcohol and disrupt street drinking that has a negative impact on our communities.

    Actioned 26 August 2026

  • Priority:

The Town Centre and Chalvey continue to see reports of theft from motor vehicles, with many offences involving vehicles left insecure or property left on display. Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant, report suspicious behaviour, and share any CCTV or Ring doorbell footage that may assist investigations, even if it is unclear whether an offence has occurred.

    Issued 26 August 2026

    Action taken:

•Carry out proactive patrols in identified hotspot locations.
•Work with residents, businesses and partner agencies to gather intelligence and identify emerging trends.
•Promote vehicle security through crime prevention messaging and the "Clear Car" campaign.
•Monitor known offenders and utilise stop and search powers where lawful, proportionate and necessary to disrupt criminal activity.
•Encourage reporting of suspicious activity and submission of CCTV, dashcam and Ring doorbell footage to support investigations.

    Actioned 26 August 2026

  • Priority:

Throughout the summer, Neighbourhood Policing Teams conducted patrols around areas of open water, particularly the Jubilee River, during periods of extreme heat, promoting water safety awareness.

    Issued 26 June 2026

    Action taken:

A joint engagement event with Berkshire Fire & Rescue Service was also held in Slough Town Centre. The event was well attended, with children enjoying the opportunity to learn about water safety and experience rescue equipment demonstrations.

As the weather becomes cooler and the demand for water safety patrols reduces, this will no longer feature as a patrol plan priority.

    Actioned 26 August 2026

  • Priority:

Anti-social behaviour remains a concern in parts of Chalvey, particularly around Chalvey Road East and West, Alexandra Road, Turton Way, the High Street and Spackman's Way. Issues raised by residents include street drinking, breaches of the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO), littering, noise nuisance and suspicious vehicles. Following feedback received at a recent community meeting, officers will continue targeted patrols and work with Slough Borough Council to address both immediate concerns and longer-term solutions.

    Issued 26 August 2026

    Action taken:

•Conduct targeted patrols in identified hotspot locations.
•Enforce PSPO powers and seize alcohol where appropriate.
•Address reports of littering, noise nuisance and suspicious vehicles.
•Gather intelligence and engage with residents to identify emerging issues.
•Work with Slough Borough Council and partner agencies to develop long-term solutions to persistent ASB.
•Use appropriate enforcement powers to tackle repeat offenders and improve community confidence.

    Actioned 26 August 2026
