About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Anti-social behaviour

    Issued 10 March 2026

    Action taken:

We continue to tackle antisocial behaviour through targeted, high-visibility patrols in hotspot areas, disrupting issues before they escalate. Officers are proactively identifying those responsible and addressing behaviour with proportionate and preventative measures. This includes offering advice, engaging with parents and guardians, building positive relationships with young people, and issuing Community Protection Warnings (CPWs) where appropriate. Our approach combines enforcement with early intervention to reduce harm and improve community safety.

    Actioned 28 June 2026

  • Priority:

    Anti-social driving

    Issued 10 March 2026

    Action taken:

Proactive patrols are continuing across the area to identify and target individuals involved in anti-social driving. Drivers who put others at risk are being dealt with robustly, with enforcement action taken where necessary.

We’re also working closely with Community Speed Watch to address speeding concerns and improve road safety. This partnership, alongside our visible presence, supports our commitment to keeping roads safe and tackling dangerous driving behaviour head-on.
