About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

    Target Anti-social behaviour around both Leiston and Saxmundham town centres, including vehicle ASB and nuisance.

    Action taken:

    CPT officers continue to conduct targeted patrols across the towns, engaging with residents and individuals responsible for reported issues. ASB warning letters have been issued to those involved in anti‑social behaviour, with escalation options in place should behaviour continue.
    Section 59 warning notices have been issued to anti‑social drivers, and vehicles have been seized where further offences have been identified. Officers have advised that a second S59 enables police to seize the vehicle. Offenders will continue to be monitored, with further action taken as required.

    Targeting individuals involved in the supply of drugs and the exploitation of others for financial gain through intelligence‑led patrols and enforcement activity.

    Officers continue to target individuals involved in the supply of drugs and proactively disrupt drug‑related activity within the area, alongside delivering inputs in local schools to educate young people on the risks and dangers of criminal exploitation.

    CPT officers have been engaging with local residents and businesses, highlighting the importance of crime reduction and prevention. High‑visibility patrols are being conducted within the area to provide reassurance, deter offending, and will continue throughout the year.
