About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Concerns were raised by residents about the increase in drug dealing.

    Action taken:

    Officers have conducted engagement sessions and held drop-ins for the community to understand which specific addresses and individuals are causing the issues. We have been working closely with specialist officers and teams to take positive action against those running the drug dealing, which has subsequently led to arrests and safeguarding of children. The investigation is still ongoing.

    The drug issues and complaints are continuing, therefore high visibility patrols have been increased in the area and partnership working commenced to address the problems, particularly on the Highfields estate

    We have received reports of further drug dealing in the area from local councillor, despite some fantastic pro active work in the area.

    Action taken:

    Deputy Commander Wareing will be meeting with your local councillor in the coming days to understand what these problems are and how we can work together with partners to solve them. Local officers have been tasked to complete community contact records in the area to understand how the community are feeling and how we can best combat these problems

    Nuisance off-road motorbikes riding around the estates of Stafford south. They also use local fields and green spaces.

    Action taken:

    Roads policing have been made aware and tasked to be in the identified areas at key times to deal with and deter offenders. Work is undertaken via way of school assemblies and high visibility patrol at key times in repeat areas. Contacting landowners in regards to reinstating fences that may have been destroyed or removed providing offenders with easy access to green areas.
