About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Drugs in Eccleshall High Street and surrounding areas

    Action taken:

    Successful bid for out County Pro Active and Rural team to spend time in the local area targeting nominals based on the intelligence we have received. This has resulted in several stop searches and a vehicle of a nominal involved in dealing drugs being seized. Investigations remain ongoing and we will continue to patrol the area with uniform and plain clothes officers.

    We've had a slight increase in reports of parking in the High Street being an issue and causing obstructions for other motorists and pedestrians

    High visibility patrols in the area, smart alerts sent out to local residents, information sharing with council. Consideration of parking buddies

    Drugs use on Beechdale Lane in Tittensor.

    The location will be targeted on a regular basis at peak times in order to disrupt those involved.

  • Priority:

    Boy racers and ASB with vehicles has been recorded as the biggest issue from the community in this area. Local officers will be spending more time on high visibility policing and requesting support from the road crime team. They will be encouraged to take positive action to target these vehicles and will be holding more engagement events in the area for the public to share intelligence and report any further issues

    Local officers have adapted the patrol plan to be more visible in the area and have bid for road crime support to create operations to take positive action against those causing the issues.

    Vehicles are attending Elford Heath car park, driving in an anti-social manner and playing loud music.

    Local residents have been visited, warning signs have been installed and patrols have been increased in the area.

    Reports of anti-social behaviour that is causing a disruption within the village of Yarnfield and having a detrimental impact on the lives of those who live there
