About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

    Burglaries of outbuildings and sheds.

    Issued 12 September 2026

    Action taken:

    There has been an increase in burglaries of outbuildings and sheds in the Clifton and Huntington area of York.

    Op Twister - Officers have been patrolling the affected and targeted areas utilising a range of different tactics.

    There has been a reduction in these types of offences since pro-active patrols have been implemented.

    Any suspicious activity needs to be reported - 999 in an emergency / 101 in a non-emergency.
