About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    We work with the community and local partners, as well as looking at our own data to come up with the priority that we will have for Hethersett and Mulbarton for the next three months:
    Road Safety across South Norfolk

    Issued 01 February 2026

    Action taken:

    We have delivered Road Safety Sessions to the Schools and After School Organisations including the green cross code. A ticket has been issued for use of Mobile Phone. Speed Enforcement carried out around hot spots identified by local residents, parish councils and community speed watch teams, with up to 11 traffic offence reports being issued at some locations. Partnership working with Parish Councils, Highways and local MP around Road Safety and parking concerns and issues continues.

    A community day was held in Hethersett in April, with speed checks carried out with assistance of the local children for educational repurposes, and community awareness. One Ebike seized from an offender on the day due to repeated anti-social behaviour.

    During speed checks carried out in Hethersett on Henstead Road, one youth given words of advice about the legality of E-Scooters.

    Over the last month we have:

    Liaised with the local parish council to get a vehicle in a dangerous condition on Baker Drive in Hethersett removed.

    Carried out speed enforcement and road safety checks in Bawburgh.

    E-Scooter seized on Henstead Road.

    We have visited the youth club in Hethersett and spoken to them about road safety.

    Visited Cringleford VC School on the 18th of May and spoke to 15 classes about Road Safety and conducted foot patrols around the school before and after school day due to reports of parking issues outside the school.
