About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    We work with the community and local partners, while also looking at our own data, to come up with priorities for the Bradwell area for the next three months. This is currently: Tackling anti-social behaviour, focusing on vehicle ASB and speeding on Beccles Road

    Action taken:

    We visited Lynn Grove High School for their Community Engagement Day. During the engagement day we initially discussed the role of a police officer and then the students come up with murder crime scenes.

    Attended Morrisons, Bradwell and spoke to the security and team leader, who stated that ASB has improved but they are concerned as the summer holidays approach. I advised them that if ASB increases to contact us promptly and in the interim we will conduct hi-visibility mobile patrols to help prevent this from happening.

    Following reports of increased ASB at Mill Lane & Bradwell, extensive patrols have been done in which several members of the community have been engaged with. Including a large group of youths aged between 10-13 playing football and recording videos for social media- safeguarding advice around online activity and, the use of social media in general given.

    Nearby residents spoken to about ASB, they raised no concerns and were pleased to see a visible policing presence.

    Action taken:

    Following reports of speeding and vehicle related antisocial behaviour in the area, the local team have worked with the Roads Safety Camera Partnership team, Road Casualty Reduction Team and Roads Policing who have been carrying out analysis and enforcement. Some recent results show a number of vehicles seized following traffic stops for no insurance, and speeders issued with tickets for excess speed.

    Spoke with staff and customers at Morrisons in Bradwell following reports of increased ASB, followed by patrols conducted within the Bradwell area.

    Attended the Cobholm Festival and engaged with several members of the Cobholm community and local businesses.

    Two vehicles seized for no insurance, and drivers issued with traffic offence reports (TORs) - 5x TORs issued for no MOT. 4x TORs for not wearing seatbelts. Speeding checks carried out no tickets issued.
