About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

    Youth Violence
    Youth Violence and ASB in Vicinity of St. Johns Drive, Henry Prince Estate and Garratt Lane. Increase in offences / complaints of ASB relating to youths associated to St Johns Drive

    Action taken:

    To continue patrols in the vicinity of Henry Prince Estate, Garratt Lane and St.Johns Drive, engage with groups of youths, progress investigations of offences identified and liaise / promote good work with local community through street briefings, community events and Ward Panel meetings. Officers secured installation of a temporary CCTV camera overlooking an ASB hotspot area and when appropriate will utilise stop and search powers. Officers will aim to provide reassurance visits to repeat victims of ASB and continue to liaise with partner agencies.

    Theft from Motor Vehicles
    Increase of Theft From Motor Vehicles offences in and around Swaffield Road and Whitehead Close SW18

    Action taken:

    Theft from Motor Vehicle remains a long term priority for the ward. Officers will monitor crime trends and utilise predictive mapping and aim to patrol hotspot areas and specifically around Swaffield Road and Whitehead Close. Officers will aim to engage with vehicle owners and offer crime prevention advice. High Visibility patrols continue to take place around these areas and officers will provide regular street briefings for local residents, to provide updates and address any concerns raised.

    Burglary
    To aim to reduce daytime residential burglaries within the ward.

    Action taken:

    Dedicated Ward Officers will promote awareness of home security and provide High Visibility patrols in identified burglary hotspot areas. Officers will promote crime prevention through engagement events, home reassurance visits, social media, street briefings and public meetings. Officers will continuously review all reports of burglary and highlight any patterns of offending and adjust their patrols and events accordingly to correspond with locations highlighted. Officers will aim to visit victims of burglaries and have recently completed a property marking scheme across the ward.
