About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Violence against women and girls remains a priority. Crimes affecting women and girls across the ward which includes exposure, harassment and other crimes affecting women and girls

    Action taken:

    We will conduct regular targeted patrols, this will be a mixture of high visibility and plain clothes patrols in areas that have been identified through crime reporting, in addition to areas that have been highlighted as unsafe by the community. There will be regular targeted patrols and crime prevention talks in Ruislip Lido, engaging with users, residents and Neighbourhood watch members in the area.

    Theft from motor vehicle and theft of motor vehicles and motor vehicle interference continues to be of concern.

    Action taken:

    Victims of crime will be contacted and visited where necessary to support local enquiries. Crime prevention advice and information to be distributed through community engagement events and via social media. Targeted crime prevention to vulnerable car owners.

    Regular patrols in High Street to deter and identify suspects.
    Ongoing work with retailers to protect their stores.
