    Vehicle Offences

    Issued 20 March 2026

    Action taken:

The Roxeth Safer Neighbourhood Team will focus on reducing and preventing vehicle-related offences across the ward. This priority has been set in response to community concerns regarding unsafe driving, nuisance vehicles, and offences that compromise road safety.
To address this, the team will carry out:
    • Proactive vehicle stops to identify offences such as driving without insurance, using a mobile phone while driving, careless driving, and other road traffic violations.
    • Enforcement action, including issuing fixed penalty notices, fines, and penalty points to drivers found committing offences.
    • Targeted patrols in hotspot areas identified through community feedback and police data.
    • Partnership work with the local authority and CCTV teams to support longer-term problem solving.
The aim of this priority is to improve road safety, reduce harm, and enhance the quality of life for residents of Roxeth Ward.

  • Priority:

    Theft Shoplifting

    Issued 20 March 2026

    Action taken:

The Roxeth Safer Neighbourhood Team will prioritise improving the reporting and prevention of shoplifting across local businesses. This priority has been set following feedback from retailers who have experienced increased thefts and under reporting of incidents.
To address this, the team will:
    • Encourage consistent reporting of shoplifting through direct engagement with businesses, highlighting the importance of accurate reporting for investigations, intelligence development, and future policing resources.
    • Strengthen collaboration with local shops, including regular visits, crime prevention advice, and tailored support based on business needs.
    • Conduct covert operations in identified hotspots to identify offenders, gather evidence, and support prosecution.
    • Carry out intelligence led patrols based on information provided by retailers, security staff, and CCTV operators.
    • Host reporting and crime prevention workshops for businesses, demonstrating how to report incidents effectively, share intelligence safely, and use preventative measures to reduce theft.
The aim of this priority is to create a more coordinated approach between local businesses and police, increase offender accountability, and reduce the overall impact of shoplifting in Roxeth Ward.

  • Priority:

Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG)

    Issued 20 March 2026

    Action taken:

The Roxeth Safer Neighbourhood Team is committed to improving the safety and confidence of women and girls across Roxeth Ward. This priority has been set in response to community concerns around harassment, intimidation, and unsafe areas within the ward.
To address this, the team will:
    • Increase proactive patrols in identified hotspot locations, including transport hubs, parks, and areas with low footfall, to deter offending and provide reassurance to residents.
    • Work closely with partners, including the local authority, community safety teams, and CCTV operators, to identify problem areas and respond swiftly to reports of threatening or harmful behaviour.
    • Host regular community forums and engagement sessions where women and girls can voice concerns, share experiences, and work with the team to shape local policing activity.
    • Provide crime prevention advice, personal safety information, and clear reporting routes to ensure residents feel better supported and informed.
    • Continue to gather intelligence from the community and partner agencies to identify repeat perpetrators and address patterns of behaviour that disproportionately impact women and girls.
The aim of this priority is to create safer public spaces, strengthen community trust, and ensure women and girls across Roxeth Ward feel safe, supported, and confident in reporting concerns.

Local green spaces like Roxeth Rec and Alexandra Park are regular dog walking paths have been patrolled on foot by your local officers for reassurance. Working with Harrow Council and local Councillors Roxeth SNT aim to improve joint patrols to target Public Spaces Protection Order breaches as well as consider new locations for possible ‘Safe Havens’ for vulnerable peeple. We are in discussions to improve lighting and CCTV in the area with Harrow Councillors.
Crime prevention pop up stands have been held outside South Harrow Tube/Waitrose/Aldi/Roxeth Library and Costa Coffee again offering advice and reassurance.
