Violence against Women and Girls VAWG

    Issued 12 June 2026

    Action taken:

Officers are continuing their efforts to tackle violence against women and girls by addressing a wide range of offences where they are affected. The nature of these crimes spans from minor incidents to serious offences, which means victims come from a broad spectrum of situations. The team is working to combat all forms of crime in the area, aiming to ensure that women feel safe walking the streets and to reduce their fear of becoming victims. In addition, the team is planning operations involving both overt and covert patrols to protect women and girls in public spaces.

  • Priority:

Theft from motor vehicles and theft of motor vehicles

    Issued 12 June 2026

    Action taken:

Officers are carrying out high-visibility patrols in known hotspots where vehicles are being targeted for theft. They are distributing crime prevention leaflets and providing advice to the public on how to secure their vehicles and remove valuables to reduce the risk of theft. Officers are also checking suspicious vehicles that may be stolen or abandoned, with the aim of returning them to their rightful owners. In addition, any mopeds acting suspiciously in the area are being stopped and checked, as they may also be stolen.

    Actioned 12 June 2026

  • Priority:

Tackling ASB including ongoing problems with local drinkers and drug users- Church Road, Fortunegate Road, Essex Road and Denzil Road. Homelessness, alcohol sales and violence against the person

    Issued 12 June 2026

    Action taken:

Officers are working with Harlesden Town Centre Team and the council to combat street drinking, utilising the use of Community Protection Warnings, Public Spaces Protection Order fines and other legislation.
