About us

    Theft - Shoplifting

    Action taken:

    The ward has seen an increase in theft shoplifting at Waitrose and Tesco Express on Windmill Hill. Upon initial engagement it has been established that the issue is under reported. We will work with the stores to identify offenders and build cases against repeated offenders. We will provide visible patrols at the location to prevent offences.

    Burglary continues to affect the residents of Ridgeway Ward, This remains our first priority.

    Action taken:

    We will conduct patrols on foot and in vehicles in highlighted areas where such a crime has taken place. This is in order to offer some visibility and reassurance to residents. We will circulate crime prevention advice via met engage and conduct cuckooing in the local area where there has been a burglary to identify any further leads and advise residents of crimes in the area.
