About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    The team review the overnight crimes on the ward and look for trends, create intelligence reports that may help establish connections between related cases. Officers will conduct plain clothes and uniformed pro-active patrols within the ward hotspot areas and distributed relevant crime prevention advice via met

    Burglaries
    Burglary has now become the ward's primary concern, particularly with the onset of longer dark nights, which have correlated with a slight rise in burglary incidents. The ward panel recognises the need for a proactive approach to address this issue promptly.

    The team will review overnight crimes and intelligence to try an identify offenders or pattern of behaviour. They will also visit victims of Burglary and offer advice and guidance. Will also offer advice to wider residents.

    Motor Vehicle crime
    The prevention of motor vehicle crime remains a significant focus due to ongoing reports of theft from vehicles and the theft of high-value keyless entry vehicles. The ward panel has agreed that this issue warrants continued attention and resources.
