About us

This will be achieved through targeted high-visibility patrols, engagement with drug users, intelligence gathering, the use of stop and search powers where grounds exist, and positive action against identified offences.

    Measurable: Conduct regular patrols at identified hotspot locations over a 3-month period. Monitor drug-related incidents, reports of anti-social behaviour, stop and search activity, community intelligence submissions, and positive outcomes including arrests, community resolutions, and referrals to support services where appropriate.

    Achievable: Utilise neighbourhood policing resources to carry out targeted patrols during peak daytime periods, work with partner agencies to address repeat issues, and encourage residents, businesses, and local stakeholders to report concerns to assist with enforcement activity.

    Relevant: Drug use in public spaces contributes to anti-social behaviour, public disorder, and community concerns regarding safety. Tackling this issue supports the Metropolitan Police Service's objectives of reducing crime and harm, improving public confidence, and maintaining safe public spaces for residents, businesses, and visitors.

    Time-bound: Implement over a 3-month period, with progress reviewed monthly and a formal assessment presented to Ward Panel members at the next Ward Panel meeting.

    Measurable: Increase high-visibility and plain-clothes patrols within the target area over a 3-month period. Monitor intelligence submissions, community reports, stop and search activity, arrests, charges, and other positive outcomes linked to drug dealing. Review recorded drug-related incidents and enforcement activity monthly.

    Achievable: Utilise local neighbourhood policing resources, partner agency engagement, and community intelligence to identify offenders, direct patrols effectively, and carry out enforcement opportunities as they arise. Encourage residents and businesses to continue reporting suspicious activity to support police action.

    Relevant: Drug dealing contributes to crime, anti-social behaviour, exploitation, and community harm. Proactively targeting those involved in the supply of drugs supports the Metropolitan Police Service's objectives of preventing crime, protecting vulnerable people, and improving safety and public confidence within the ward.
