Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Priority 1 – Robbery
Reduce Robbery offences specifically within St John’s Road SW11 and surrounding residential streets by using detection and prevention methods working in collaboration with Junction BID. We will measure success through data and tackle this priority with an evidence-based model. We will review resourcing options, where operationally possibly ensure targeted action. This problem will be reviewed regularly to ensure realistic and timely actions are taken.

    Issued 15 April 2026

    Action taken:

Using intelligence led policing DWO’s will identify locations for patrols and potential offenders, work closely with partners such as the Junction BID, Wandsworth Council, and BTP to share intelligence of known offenders. Hi-visibility patrols along with stop and searches will be conducted, we will have community engagement events during which we will offer crime prevention advice, enforcing our commitment to deliver the neighbourhood guarantee and summer crime plan

    Actioned 14 July 2026

  • Priority:

Priority 2 – Theft from Shop
Reduce Theft from Shop offences in and around St John's Road SW11 and other stores targeting repeat locations and repeat offenders. Shoplifting is an associated offence to other issues such as ASB, Drugs and other Theft offences. To utilise crime prevention advice, support victims and offer reassurance. We will utilise evidence based policing to target patrols both visibly and plain clothes through operations and patrols. We will measure success through frequent data analysis. We will achieve this by seeking advice through specialist roles as seek to resource this through local officers and wider policing. We will review this frequently to adapt our approach.

    Issued 15 April 2026

    Action taken:

Officers will gather and analyse intelligence in order to identify locations for patrols and potential offenders operating in the area. We will provide high visibility patrols and promoting of crime prevention advice during our engagement events. We will aim to visit local businesses to provide reassurance and crime prevention advice.

  • Priority:

    Priority 3 – Anti-social Behaviour
To proactively tackle anti-social behaviour around Clapham Junction BR Station, St Johns Hill SW11 due to a significant problem with begging. We will monitor progress through proactive patrols and problem-solving. We will enforce ASB legislation available to us (CPW, CPNs) and enforce breaches of these. We will utilise other resources, where able, to tackle this issue at various times, this includes working in partnership with Local Authority. We will utilise data systems to adapt and proactively engage in a timely manner.

    Issued 15 April 2026

    Action taken:

In keeping with the neighbourhood guarantee and summer crime place DWO’s will carry out High Visibility patrols to the locations identified to deter those committing Anti-Social Behaviour. Utilising Anti-Social Behaviour legislation to issue ASB warnings, Community Protection warnings and Community Protection Notices when appropriate. Working closely with other agencies such as BTP and Wandsworth Council in order to facilitate information sharing across agencies.
