About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

    Working towards a reduction of violence against women girls and youths in Hackney Marshes, Canal Tow Path and Environs

    As part of the VAWG initiative, we regularly hold ‘Walk, Talk & Do’ sessions.
    The team will:
    Conduct Proactive High visibility patrols in the area as well as covert patrols.
    Working with hackney council, Canal and River Trust, Parks and open spaces, Street Lightings, Hackney Council CCTV, DAIS and Neighbouring wards.
    Distribute crime prevention advice, and leaflets to members of the public, focusing mainly around personal safety when out and about.
