About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    We are targeting the area with enhanced patrols and extra funding has been sought to provide more officers for when the ward team are not on duty.

    Pedal Cycle Theft

    Action taken:

    High visibility and plain clothes patrols to be conducted. These provide local residents with reassurance and crime prevention advice.

    Work is ongoing with the local schools, where a majority of these thefts are occurring, to provide pupils with bike marking and registering and improving security

    Motor Vehicle Crime
    We have noticed issues within the ward of Motor vehicle crime, such as theft of motor vehicle and theft from.

    Action taken:

    We have been conducting patrols around highly effected areas at peak times. We are also conducting community events to disseminate crime prevention advice whilst monitoring offenders who come to Police notice and dealing with criminality robustly.
